Is there a method to your topic choice?

   I have a few things I could write about - Lights (my first niche), Ableton Live, San Diego (where I live), but I don't quite know which I want to write about.  Either way I'd like to find another niche, so when I'm bored of writing about lights I can switch to something else.
   
   How did you find your latest (profitable) niche?

      To answer your question - I didn't find it. So much as fall over it. And as for you and new niches - what are you looking for? A little push in the right direction ... or a hearty shove in the middle of your back?

   i don't have a niche.
   
   i see people mention them though.
   
   well i kind of write about dolls so maybe that is my niche and i don't know it.
   
   all i can suggest is just write about what you enjoy otherwise it could get kind of tedious?

      dolls is a broad term
      
      a niche would be something like
      
      1960's life size porcelain dolls
      
      I do my new topic research by taking advantage of other peoples keyword research

      You can write about what you enjoy, find a niche and have profitable subject matter, you just have to put your research in

      I usually scratch my niches.
      
      Seriously though I've been writing hub after hub on future car models from around the world. I've been concentrating on hybrid and electric cars.
      
      Then I found out Glenn Beck criticized them and a few weeks later went on and on about how much he liked the Tahoe hybrid that GM lent him. 
      
      Oops! I couldn't let that go...it took off. It's been bouncing from top hub to within three of top ever since.
      
      So I learned something. Write about something controversial and be sure to sprinkle the articles with adwords that attract high paying ads.

   I don't worry about finding niches, I just write about topics I enjoy.  I've found one or two good niches that way.

          Instead of writing in here - go write offline, then transplant into a couple of capsules - dress betsy up in a Hallowe'en costume, you know - Betsy Loves Hallowe'en ... Providing She Ain't In A Pie, lace it with some of your wit and you're away
          
          And if betsy won't play ball, show her a tin and tell her you know just how to fit her in it. I'm sure she'd stand for a shot dressed as a Ghost Pig or maybe even a Banshee Porker.
