OK, no matter what my views of Obama, or Bush, or Clinton.... (you get where Im going)  In what other country in the world can you be so damn disrepectful to  the "LEADER"?

parodies, snl skits, blatent disrespect, come on. I dont like most of nor did I vote for those who were listed ablove, but SOMEONE DID, and they are rightfully in office. I truly believe we should have some respect. It should really be required. How are the leaders of other countried (iran for example) going to respect us, If we dont even respect ourselves?) yeah, yeah, I know, I can say whatever I want about my brother, but dont you say anything) well, that just isnt gonna work, OK.

Respect for our leaders should be a LAW. and the Leaders of the "SUPERPOWER" really shouldnt be appearing on late-night talk shows while theyre still in power, NO? Has any other President done such a thing ? It eems pretty "cheap/cheesy" to Me. Even un-classy. Oh well, thats my "rant" for now. WHADDAYA THINK?

Respect has to be earned. You can make a law all you want but then you have to make it work. Legislating morality has never borne any real fruit.

You may beleive he does not deserve it, but the office does.  Object all you want, that is your right, but do so respectfully.  Same goes for Liberals.

Politics and political figures have always engendered dissent and disrespect. That is not really anything new.
What is new is that the disrespect is so out in the open.
Instead of grousing with one's mates in a saloon or parlor somewhere like in the old days, now anyone can say anything on a blog and it's global.
TV has become the medium of anything goes/everythhing shows.
    There's no subject sacred anymore.

If TV had been as evolved in the 1960s as it is now, you can bet Kennedy would have been parodied.
If presidents were off limits I fear SNL would be no more. sad
