Should Trump ship illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities?

This crisis is a creation of Democrats who refuse to fund the wall and refuse to enforce our immigration laws. In addition, they refuse to deal with the rising numbers of people showing up at our borders. Our antiquated laws force the government and ICE to release these people...
Our courts are swamped and ICE does not have the resources to house these vast numbers...
    Where is Congress? MIA.
What do you expect the President to do?

I want a solution to this crisis. Anything is worth trying at this point.

Yes, he should... These cities have claimed they will not follow our current immigration laws. It makes good sense these cities should practice what they preach, and provide what many illegals are looking for. To disrespect our laws.

I just can't even imagine San Francisco getting any more deplorable.

I think they should have a list of sanctuary cities and let the illegals choose which one they want to go to.

Then group them by the city they want, have each group elect one (or maybe 2 of 3) from their group to represent the group and then put those people in touch with the Mayor of the city their group wants to go to and negotiate how that city will welcome them.

If the Mayor refuses to meet or cooperate that will show illegals that they don’t want to welcome them, they only use the sanctuary status and illegals as a political pawn.

Trump should devise means to ship illegals back to their respective countries of origin.

It would certainly be cheaper than letting them stay. Can't imagine what it cost for an illegal to have their day in court with an attorney.

I would think shipping them to sanctuary cities might give those cities the opportunity to prove their claims. That way, once proven, we might expand the sanctuary city concept to more locations.

Unless, they don't believe what they say and are only trying to garner votes. If that were the case I could see why they wouldn't want to provide sanctuary to more people.

I doubt that it could be considered legal to bus them to, say, San Francisco and turn them loose.

But if they were bused there to a tent city, a tent city with one "guard" per 5000 residents, it might be a different story.  After all, the money for the wall has to come from somewhere - guards for illegal aliens in sanctuary cities seems the perfect place.

What are you talking about? The whole thing is illegal, from the border crossing to the catch and release...to the phony asylum claims...
These cities are breaking the law with sanctuary policies. Unfortunately, we don’t have a single judge that will rule on this...

I'm not lawyer enough to definitively state that sanctuary cities are required to enforce federal laws, or even incarcerate people until federal officers can get there.  Stupid and self defeating, yes, but not necessarily illegal.

On the other hand, I AM pretty sure that warning illegals that ICE is coming tomorrow IS illegal.  And should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I think this is a brilliant move by President Donald Trump.  It puts those Democrats in sanctuary cities in a position where have to prove the truth in what they preach.  It created a great time in the news cycle.  It helped Democrats look even worse they they already do in the eyes of Americans.

Disagree.  They'll just get more federal dollars (from you and I) to support more illegals.
