Oh no, Brenda! That is such a shock. Steven was a great guy, writer, and inspiration to others. He gave many aspiring writers a chance to have their work published in his anthologies. What a sad loss.

      It is so sad John.

I knew he had returned to the hospital, but he had asked us not to send messages ...he knew we all cared & would see us when his health improved.

He truly helped give confidence to many writers.

I have no idea what will happen to Sweetycat Press.

I believe Steven pretty much handled it.

It would be great if his efforts were to continue, but it will not be the same.

Steve had a special quality about him which truly encouraged us to write and have confidence in our ability.

I am far too sad at Steve Carr's demise, Brenda. I liked participating in his anthologies and contributing to them. He was a rare gem, encouraging so many writers around the world. I contributed short stories to the last five anthologies including the recent one, "The Gift." He will be missed. May God rest him in peace.

I truly feel that sadness also, Rosina.

      It's heartbreaking.

He had recently written me a letter of recommendation that went way beyond what I actually needed.

I will treasure this letter, as well as our numerous texts and emails.

He was really inspiring & touched so many Writer's around the world.

I contributed to one or two of his anthologies. I'm deeply saddened to learn of his death. I had also exchanged a few emails with him, he was a very kind and sweet person. May God bless his soul and grant his family the strength to bear this great loss. May his soul find eternal peace! Ameen!
Thank you for posting this news, Bredz

      Thanks Misbah...
He was always so excited when I told him a few of my friends from Hubpages were sending in submissions for his anthologies.

I'm so glad you & a few of the other Hubbers got to experience his kindness first hand.

I'm glad your words are in those books also.

I pray God blesses his soul & comforts his family & friends.

      Peggy...
He truly did have an impact on Writer's across the world.

He also helped financially when a crisis hit his friends...like a hurricane or floods.

      He had a compassionate heart.
