      A verb is a doing word, which is every case here is the word "is". An adjective is a describing word, and that is what varies from case to case.
      
      I almost contemplated starting a thread for these, because I find them very appealing.

      "Yes Minister" referred to these expressions as irregular verbs, too, as in
      
      "I have an independent mind, you are an eccentric, he is round the twist"
      
      Of course in this case nouns are used, but I think the point is that the expressions are similar in form to the declension of an irregular verb (I am, you are, he is).

   DJ - is there a university computer lab near you?
   
   We have two major labs at ours, several smaller ones - one is open until midnight and the other big one is 24 hours a day. No time limits unless it's finals week for students.
