Can the date of initial publication show on the hub. I think that many of our hubs are related to current situations or new breaks, and in a few months if we say that a particular incident occured a week ago, the exact week would be unknown. Unless, the person reading the article already has the time frame in mind.

I think having the date of initial publication under or by our name, would be beneficial. This way if someone is researching a topic months down the line, the date will add some credibility or sorts to the hub.

If you really want to add a date Whitney, you could always add it in text somewhere. A few hubbers do that.

I didn't think about adding it in the text. Thanks. I was thinking along the lines of current new topics and such. But, I guess topics that are everyday, cultural, travel, etc. would not necessarily need a date.

It might turn people off to see how long ago some things were published (the legendary "evergreen" content HubPages so extols).  I'd add the date in the text or title, if it's only going to be currently relevent.

A 1st published date in the stats column on the my hubs page would be handy

We're sort of constrained for horizontal space on that page, especially for people that use long words in their hub titles.  Do you think first published would be more useful than the last modified date?  Or is there something else we could drop that isn't useful?  I'll see what I can do.

An originally published date in the stats column would be awesome.

I agree, please see if you can put that in the stats column.

I'd vote published over last modified! The mods tend to be the spelling errors!

I'd vote for seeing the Publish date over the Last Modified date, too.
