    Does anyone know where I can promote my "Green" related hubs? Or any ideas to get traffic on hubs about "green" related issues? I have many ideas, but I am unsure if the will produce traffic.

      Join green forums and see if you can add a link to one of your Hubs in your signature.  Participate meaningfully in the forums and when it's relevant, drop in a link to a Hub in a post.

      Search for green blogs where you can leave a comment.  I don't usually put a link in my comment, instead I look for blogs where your name becomes a hyperlink (they ask for our website, that's where you paste your Hub).

      The best thing to do is write them and find out!  Some Hubs get good traffic even without promotion - I've found the most unexpected topics do well, while the ones I expected to fly didn't.

    in addition to your own external blog and places liked shetoldme, which are pretty generic, maybe see if places like The Nature Conservancy or WWF have blogs or message forums? i know treehugger.com has forums.

    I would post them on DIGG too, you get some great traffic through there and its definetly a timely topic.

      Just be careful not to spam.  You're not really supposed to promote your own stuff on Digg, it's supposed to be for promoting sites you think are exceptionally good.  If you get caught self-promoting, you can get banned.

    I'm sorry, I meant BOOKMARK on Digg, not promote. I have been bookmarking at Digg and D'licious with great results.

      Jennifer, bookmarking on Digg is promoting.

    I contacted Digg yesterday and asked if I was promoting my own site would I be banned. Was it ok to contribute to their site, if the submission promoted my site, they replied with the following.

    Jennifer;
    By creating and posting Content to Digg, you warrant that you own all rights to the Content, agree that the Content will be dedicated to the public domain under the Creative Commons Public Domain Dedication, available at http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/ and that you will not object to the use of the Content by Digg in any context.

    I've been posting my stuff there for over a year, and have been a part of that community with no problems or recourse from the site or its members. That's why I recommended using Digg to promote her green hubs, in my experience and with my correspondence I have no reason to believe there would be a problem. I asked they looked at my submissions and tell me if I am violating any TOS, so far the above reply was all I received. If I hear different i will post an update here.

    Jennifer
