How low will the Right Wing go to stop the health Care Reform Bill?

We passed another hurdle Saturday night. What does the Right Wing plan to do now. Will they finally come over from the darkside and start working for the people of this country? Will they keep to same old tired lies and scare tactics? Will they find some new outrageous tactics to use against the people of this Country? Yes, they will now be working against the people of this Country if they continue to fight against the Health Care Bill. They can see the polls just like you and me. So they know what the American People want. Will they be with us, or against us?

I'm thinking the conservative Democrats will stick with their Party, and some of the clear thinking Republicans will join them to send a Health Care Bill to the President.

What do you think is going to happen?

  The so called "right wing" that you are referring to seem to be the only one's concerned with the "people" this country, and the Constitution! The arrogance of the democrats is appalling and outrageous! What is being proposed, is first and foremost, unconstitutional! These bills being proposed by congress are outside of the scope of their authority granted to them by the States, and the people as stated in the Constitution.
  
  There are a number of states that offer universal health care. Those that wish to obtain that "benefit" should vote for it by moving. That's how this republic was set up and that's how we "right wing extremists" that believe in the constitution and the vision of our founding fathers want it to stay!
  
  The federal government has NO AUTHORITY to FORCE upon INDIVIDUALS a requirement to buy ANYTHING or to decide for ME what is for the "GOOD" of society!
  
  If you hate freedom then you will support this bill. If you hate America, you will support this bill.
  
  I suggest if you wish to receive government handouts you have many options. You can move to Venezuela, or Cuba, or China, or a host of other places that will cater to your wishes, but please, don't FORCE you vision of "good" upon me! Thank you!

  Thats a trick question! The answer is no but, I'm a Christian and I don't want to pay for abortions, illegals, welfare recipients and I don't want to sit in line. When I go to the doctor if I have to wait 30min I leave. With whats being proposed people like me will never see a doctor and still have to pay for it.

  Look When I go to the doctor it takes me less then 2hrs and I get right back to work. The key is I have workers and families that need paychecks. Do you want me to wait and have everybody miss a days work while I'm sitting in a waiting room? If you can convince my workers it's for the best we can cross that off the list. You know theres no Christian that wants to pay for abortions. I follow my churches policy: Ok for rape, incest and the life of the mother once that it is directed by an appropriate medical authority. No late term or partial birth abortions ever.

  we don't know what the final bill will say. but I have to say, whether you are christian or whatever, we live in a country full of different kinds of people, different beliefs, different cultures, religions. it's called tolerance. because you're a christian, you don't want to ........ does that make you better than someone else who needs health care and does not believe in your religion? sad, sad, sad!!!

  Because nobody is saying it's perfect but there are other ways to go. Like tort reform it limits insurance companies and atorneys. It will reduce the cost signifigantly! Then the percentage of Americans that can afford will go up. The others I sugested above would also reduce costs. Inreaseing the percentage again. Can you really look a Christian in the eye and say you have to pay for abortions? Would you expect them to say great idea?

  I know the answer, I just had one, with my insurance $600. In canada I know for a fact MRI are not available to be used as a diagnostic tool and most are done in the US.

  The numbers are fine but a group of canadian doctors pointed out some of the deficientcies in alberta, the most wealthy area in canada, due to the oil. These doctors said a routine MRI won't happen and when its done it's done thru your private service or here in the states. Do they get reinbursed for the additional cost? No.

  And in emergencies it is still a diagnostic tool. Thats what an MRI is. Emergency or not. And most doctors in the US don't order an MRI unless there is a pertinent reason either.

  The point is they can't it's not availble. If you're having headaches more severe than normal, no CT. The reason that actress died of that head injury was because they have no lifeflight the drive took to long once they realized she was bleeding internally.

I want every U.S. citizen to be covered. I don't want insurance to be denied for pre-existing conditions. I'm on the fence about the public option. What I don't like is the deal BO made with Pharma. I felt as if he "sold us down the river." That's my biggest health-related cost (prescription drugs).

We have one group of dems say they will not vote for any bill that doesn't have the public option, along with another group of dems who say they won't vote for any bill with the public option. Somebody is going to have to compromise. I also like the repub's idea about tort reform. It should be in the bill.

  Does anybody actually know what tort reform is? What it means is doctors no longer have to be careful. They dont have to care if they KILL YOU. You or your family would not be able to sue for any more than the insurance company that represents that doctor says you can sue for. Did you even know that? If you did; never mind...

She was at Mont Tremblant right? I've been there. My uncle was hurt on the hill, took amazing care of him. She made a choice to go home. I've checked out my sister against medical advice. No one can know whether it is a big deal or not. Of course someone can be bleeding internally and not know it. Even if medical personnel had suggested she had a CT, she could have denied it.

Point is they didn't miss any diagnosis, anyone who falls they take all precautions necessary just in case. She just thought that she was ok.

My uncle fell on the mountain, they offered him all care possible. Little rest with the medics and he was fine though.

  I posted months and months ago a list of the innovations that have come out of Canada, and London Girl mentioned the innovations that have come out of the UK. Most research and innovations are made at the University level and Canada has some of the best teaching hospitals in the world.

Yeah, I'm moaning over here because my self-employed husband has been turned down by 3 different insurance companies for coverage for one simple reason. His BMI says he is "morbidly obese." In order to have an acceptable BMI he would have to weigh under 200 lbs. He has not been under 200 lbs since he played football in high school.

We live in constant fear that one day I'll have to call an ambulance and that will be the end of our house and retirement. It's a very real fear.

I honestly don't understand how ANYONE could oppose this bill.It will not affect anyone curently covered. Are you as threatened by Medicare? Will you refuse to participate in that, too???

The bottom line is if they don't want to get rid of all the illegal aliens that leech off our tax dollars then they should at least set things up so that actual citizens can get medical assistance when THEY need it, too.

Actually, most of the opposition comes from people whose mantra is, "I got mine, keep your hands off it and screw everybody else."
The irony is they only have "theirs" because they happen to be covered by an employer plan. They have no real concept of the true cost of that coverage because they are not paying it. They would be in for one RUDE-ASS awakening if they ever lose that job and have to pay COBRA fees to continue coverage.

And,the truth of the matter is the people they don't want to extend benefits to (e.g., illegals, etc) already are receiving health services. They are just not paying for them. Guess who is? Yep,the people who ARE insured. So by covering those people we (the country) would actually be expanding the risk pool which will ultimately LOWER the costs per person.

There is absolutely NOTHING the Right Wing can do to stop this. If the Democrats were so absolutely sure this was the right thing to do, it would be done already. There are not enough Republican votes to stop them. Moderate Democrats are the ones holding this bill up. Who would have thought? Good for them. While there is a need for reform in how Americans get access to health care, this bill isn't it.
Its simply the cost. Its too high. Scare tactics are never a good way to get things done.
