Sub-par Hubrank

I'm new to Hubpages, I just created my account last night.  Immediately after signing up, I noticed a number '72' in the lower right hand corner of my profile picture.  Each time I would come back to the picture, I noticed the number getting lower.  Today the number is a 13...so I did some investigating and found out basically that Hubpages thinks I suck.  I can't help but think this is rather harsh.  I mean, I just joined, 24 hours ago.  I have posted 3 very different Hubs (trying to get a feel for what type of articles get the most attention on here)all include pictures and or links.  I have 1 fan and have enlisted in a fan club of a writer I found that I admired their style.  I have read several different Hubs and posted comments on their hubs.  All this in 24 hours...not to mention signing up, figuring out how everything works, signing up for all the money making sites...I've practically been chained to my computer since last night.

So I am wondering if anyone can tell me, are these Hubranks all that important and I should be concerned?  What am I doing wrong to deserve such an incredibly low ranking? If it's really that important, how on earth do I get it up?

The number in your profile pic is your HubberScore and the one on each hub is the HubScore.

Don't get too caught up on it. It'll sort itself out. Just publish quality articles and you'll see it rise.

A lot of people ask about this.  Don't worry, you don't suck.  You're just being graded, and it will balance out once you become even more awesome.  Takes a little time, but the score is affected by number of Hubs, quality of Hubs, forum comments, etc..

You're new, and it takes a little time to get the score up to something reasonable (probably not a lot of time, maybe just a couple of more days to see a major jump; and then a while longer to see it rise some more).  All Hubs start out with a low score, and you haven't had the time to do anything other than the Hubs that would make your score go up.  Your Hubs look good to me.  I've seen new people start out really low, and within  days they're in the 70's, and a few days later the 90's.  Nobody ever knows for sure how scores will go, but that's to give you a rough idea of what can often happen.

    Don't sweat it too much.
    I was fluctuating between 84 and 89.
Then I had 13 hubs flagged and pulled in one day.  2 or 3 of them were off the air for at least 2 days.
last week i was back in the 80s.

Since then I have published a couple more hubs and as I write this I am down to a 71.
You just have to remember it is NOT a reflection of your writing.
It involves a bunch of other things that are not relevant to your talent such as "socializing" and posting opinions.
    Don't stress.  I don't.
I've been paid to write BEFORE the internet.  I STILL get paid to write elsewhere.  Anytime I get annoyed by the bullshit i remember there are people with higher score who cannot say that.
    Have fun here.
    That's what I do!
