I seem to have put in some wrong characters befofe my adsense code by mistake and want to remove them but the code box will not allow me to  when I try it keeps going to another page. The modify adsense does not work either .

Does anyone here knows how to. I can edit Kontera and Amazon but not Adsense. Because of this I am not making any money from Adsense.
Thanks for replying to this post.

Well, if you remember, you didn't actually get to put in your adsense code yourself. You gave hubpages some information (I think login email and zip code), and then it took your code straight from google adsense itself.

In other words, that code (even the extra letters above it) is completely correct.

For example:Mine added the letters "ca" before the "pub". Perfectly normal.

Anyway, if you still want to be sure. Go to "My Account" -> "Affiliate Settings". Look where it says Google. To the right, if it's working properly, it will say "Active".

If you're still unsure, to the left, it says "modify" and you can relink your adsense.

Thank you. I had an account some where and they told me I must no have anything else before the pub for it to work correctly..I notice that my analytic report show that I amm not making any money from adsense.

That is why I think that the ca- was not correct because my Id at the top of my adsense account does not have a ca- before it it simple has pub-xxxxxxxxx . When I linked my account the first time I put in the code myself. It did not have the modified link. I do the modified stuff but The ca comes up still.

the link in the top right is your generic adsense pub id - the one that starts with ca-pub is your content network id

      the ca-pub id is correect!

some other sites dont require it because they add it in themselves
