you've already written a hub on it, why ask?  but in answer to the last part of your question, a short skirt on long legs always looks nice.

        girlforyou, hi big_smile
Suggestion: apples, v-8 juice.. lots of metabolism foods. As well as drink a deal of water throughout the day/evening. Walk a lot. Lengthy walks, an hour of aerobics,. Never eat a meal if you can't burn it off. Specially close to bed time. salads are great as well. If you like to dance.. and hour is suggested.
        Merry Christmas to all.

        Hello!

You should reduce fat and calorie intake. Find a low fat snack that you love and can eat often so your not tempted to eat other things less healthy for you and your diet

Simple, limit calorie intake and increase calorie output. That means, you can eat anything you want but limit total calories to 1500-1800 a day and exercise 30 minutes to an hour a day and burn between 500 and 1000 calories. Stay away from salt fat and sugar if you can help it as those tend to make you want to eat more. Drink plenty of water spread your calorie intake out over the course of the day, that is, eat more smaller meals. Good luck!

        - Keep it simple - calories out > calories in (500 calories less than maintenance is recommended for most) + adequate protein intake to maintain lean mass
        - Stick to staple meals i.e. chicken salad, egg omlette and beans, vegetable stirfry
        - Do some form of exercise that you enjoy and preferably some form of resistance training too
        - Record what you eat whether it be online, handwritten or in photos
        - Take a before photo and put it somewhere prominent
        - Ditch the scale - focus on bodyfat percentage, calipers or inches lost, before and after photos
        - Find a competitor to take on
        - Allow yourself some leeway with junk food but exercise self control (fit it inside your daily calories)

I have written quite a few relevant hubs with more tips...

There are no tricks.  You consume less calories than you burn to lose weight, you consume more than you burn and you gain weight.

      It's just science.

But there are a lot of people willing to look for the "trick" that doesn't exist, and con men and uneducated scam artists willing to sell them the dream.

Mike is perfectly right.... anything you do that results in weight loss - if you look closely - has you eat fewer calories than you burn.  Everything!

If you are interested in a healthier lifestyle, as well as obvious health issues, then I recommend you sign up for Dr Mercola's free email which is packed with useful, no-nonsence information.  Just Google "Dr Mercola."

Totally agree with signing up for Dr Mercola, I have been reading his newsletter for a good couple of years now along with some of his books and you can't go far wrong following his advice.

Stay away from processed foods, avoid artifical sweetners like the plague and take daily exercise. Think about what you are going to eat and don't just eat for the sake of it, and make sure you take time out to eat and enjoy your food - eating on the run will just leave you feeling unsatisfied and more than likely eating cr*p.

Try to eat a 70% raw diet.  It's actually easier than you might think.  You can even find raw crackers.

A 100% raw diet involves a fair bit of prep time and dehydration but I've had a raw nut burger on a raw sesame seed bun with raw cashew cheese and it was great!

You will find that when you eat more raw you will eat A LOT more so splurge in the fruit and veg aisle.  I make huge tomato, cucumber, red and green pepper salads with olive oil and apple cider vinegar.  I don't even bother with lettuce.  Approximately 50% of the time I add some beans or a chicken breast.  It is really delicious and filling.

Eat raw for a week and you will indeed notice a difference.

My two favorite exercises for burning away fat is weight training and cardio interval training. It always works to blast away fat.

A nutritionist/dietitian can also help you to make sure that your diet is geared for fat loss. If you have the money available for one, I would highly recommend it.

If you need more fat and weight loss tips, feel free to have a peak at my hubs. I've got over 70 hubs full of weight loss and fitness tips.

the best way to lose fat is you have to worried about your diet. The word diet doesn't just refer to a reduction in eating. It also means adjusting your diet to include more of the things you need and less of the things you don't. A balanced diet is going to be key in order to losing stomach fat. Your body stores energy in two ways: glycogen and fat. Glycogen is stored in your muscles and liver.
