For me the whole chocolate and roses thing seem so repetitive and expected.

    They also don't last.

Also most men don't tend to get spoiled on VD, how can we though? big_smile

    Thank you

I think the lamest was the little speech about how "how he just couldn't find the right gift so you go find something you like" excuse.

I love lingerie!  And I'd enjoy the spa any day.  Agree with you on the cash and household items, though.  :-)

Lamest thing I ever got was a package of socks, a candy bar, and a pack of cigarettes.

A couple of years ago my ex gave me a screwdriver. Yikes. Of course I never used it. Are you serious? That's like putting a machine gun in my hands. He used it heaps though when he went to work as a builder.

i would seriously jump for joy, if i got anything. im getting an mp3 player for my guy. that way he can listen to music at work, and maybe not have to be so freaked out by the closed in spaces he has to deal with.

I have a really good sense of humor.  So when he did that to me, I just laughed at him.

I personally think its a frivolous day.  We celebrate love daily here at our house.  Its another retailers way to say buy another frivolous gift and make us some money.
