Would you rather have Followers or Fans?

   The recent change in phraseology made me wonder if the phrase followers makes anyone uncomfortable. Kinda feels like you're signing up for church or some cult group. Kinda liked Fans better it's a more secular phrase. What do you all think?

      Doesn't concern me at all whether it's called one or the other. There's more important things, like visitors. Outside traffic coming in who actually read my hubs and can't join my fan/follower club because they're not members of HubPages. But they're the ones most likely to click a link or buy a product.

         When I first saw the Forum Title I thought maybe their was a difference.  I thought I was missing something.  I agree, I'm happy I get any traffic daily.

      When it's explained I suppose but I still liked Fans Better, has that sporty sort of Tiger Woods Feel to it. As opposed to say the Pope or his boss. LOL

            I can see the reasoning.  "Following" is in the eye of the beholder.  I don't mind following someone's writing.

    A fan to me is something that is used when you are overheated, a follower is someone who wants to know what you are up to. lololo I prefer to be followed then to be fanned , I can fan myself when I am warm. lolololo
