I don't know evry one of them, but I can confidently say that the majority are antagonostic to either one,or all forms a faith/religion/beliefs.
Well it is a forum right? And the idea is to have a discussion right? You're not going to have much of a discussion if everyone agrees now are you?
Well religion is a subject that elicits passionate views. Much of the questions surrounding religion can't be proved or disproved and depend solely on faith and belief, neither of which people will easily sacrifice, which is why I don't participate. For me, what one believes is deeply personal and if your goal is to change what someone believes, you're going to encounter resistance. people need to reach their own conclusions.
Still, I recon it's ironic. The nonbelievers I have had "discussions" with are definitely not religious.
To me, discussion is just that. I personally enjoy discussing all views, but it rarely stays (or gets to) that. Too many fuel it with emotional flames, and it turns ugly.
I see a majority of the list as being believers..
Though not necessarily conforming to the standard interpretations as perscribed by the majority.
There is nothing to be learned when everyone agrees.
And if everyone agrees there in no reason for discussion.
"Listening" ... to diffrent ideas leads the understanding.
I'm a Reformed Druid, we worship small bushes and gravel. As long as they're not trashing either one I don't care what they believe or don't believe.
Dang girl, you'd make a lousy Reformed Druid
yeah, Ive heard...
I dont get along well with gravel either, it always hurts my knees if I fall down...
maybe Ill make up my own religion, tree and sand lovers or something like that.
Ironic? Well, yeah, it is. I see it.............

If the majority of a country beleives in a God, then how...is it that the lack of religion in school is blamed for the problems with our children. Since the majority of parents here in USA are believers that means the majority of children are being brought up in homes with faith. So how does adding...

that when 9/11 happened, people by the thousands rushed to buy bibles and packed the churches because they thought the end had come and they better get right with, or make peace with GOD? stores were sold out of bibles all across america, and i am sure in other countries to they made quite a profit...

Why are there so many questions here concerning Christian(or belief in God) vs Atheism? Is this the best platform for discussing these issues and are people really interested in the answers, or is religion vs non-religion just a controversial topic that will attract lots of debate and generate money...

I ask sincerely. This question spiked my interest after an atheist, who posts regularly on HubPages forums, complained that believers have 'forced' (her/his definition of the word) religion (Christianity basically) on her/him, countless times on these forums.She/he also admits that she/he, however,...

Whenever a religious discussion is mooted, we invariably find that people completely veer off the point and turn it into a discussion about God's existence. It is always whether there is God or not. Always. Ad nauseam. It is boring and getting repetitive. And, frustrating, i can tell...
