                  I did hear that yesterday. I think he was making a hypothetical statement about how aliens would not necessarily be friendly, and may see us as a source rather than a friend, which seems reasonable. I agree that it would be near impossible for there NOT to be aliens out there, but "out there" could be a very long way from here.

                        To get way over here to our little planet they would need to be much further advanced than we are technologically, and I guess that is possible.
                        
                        We may know a lot more soon. With the advent of super computers some believe we are learning exponentially and acceleration of our knowledge will put us a lot further ahead quicker than we can imagine. Very exciting concept.

                              You know what amazes me about we humans? We know so much, and yet psychologically we are still cave-men!
                              
                              The human condition remains a constant. We used to bop a woman on the head and drag her back to the cave and show her what we owned hoping she would hang around and not run away.
                              No different today. We ply her with grog, impress her with the benz and take her back to a well stocked cave. I see very little difference!

      Countless worlds have been created and destroyed and their purpose was to house the hosts of spirits as mortals on the journey of life and eternal progression.  Yes, there are countless worlds out there populated with untold numbers of people and all lifeforms.  They too, have a spirit measure in which to expand and fulfill.

   Yes,but all those other galaxies would be on the same timescales as us. I mean if the know universe came into existance at the same moment, these (supposed aliens) would share our timelines. (I would think)!

   I often think my pets are heaps smarter than me! Who gets the free bed, love, food? Not me! It's me bloody animals.
   Our old Labrador could do the starving mistreated dog bit on me and never fail! We now have a well named Shiatsu. He is a bossy little Shit! Runs everyone ragged doing what he wants! Nah humans are dumber than mud!

                        That is great news! I look at my lot playing and cry like a baby  with joy sometimes!
                        You are not gonna believe how great it is to have a new rug rat around!
                        Babies and children are a major weakness! I see a mom with a baby and I just melt! Any baby at all really!
                        But my own gkids? wonderful. stupendous, heart wrenching!

                                 I can say the same for my grandkids. There's nothing like it. I bonded with my grandson while he was in the womb, was present for his birth, and have reserved much time for him. He cannot wait to come to 'Nonny's' house!  When he spends the night with us, we have a ritual where I play soft lullaby music. He always says, "Nonny, snuggle with me a long time!" So I lay there with him patting him on the back (he's 4) or scratching his little arm while he talks and nods off to sleep. It is the most deeply satisfying moment.

   I don't believe aliens exist, but I don't deny the possibility of their existence. As for my religion, whether or not aliens exist doesn't affect that at all. I would just hope that if aliens exist, they don't think we're gods, they don't think they're gods, and if they invade a la War of the Worlds, they can be taken down easily with the common cold.
