Apparently there are new reports that the King died of complications from chronic constipation.  It's well known that he was abusing prescription drugs in his later years and on stage appeared extremely bloated.  These drugs are notorious for such side effects and they do wreak havoc with the system.
    Poor man.

So if an old sandwich and jello
Doesn't drop out to say hello
Would I still see the anguish between your thighs?

I was saving the last verse for ya.

              Okay, I'll finish it.

              ......

Okay I can't do it. It'd be funny, but I guess it really devolves into some seriously inappropriate humor.

Just the titles of some of his songs alone!!!..

              A Little Bit Of Green
              A Little Less Conversation
              Almost
              Any Day Now
              A Big Hunk O' Love
              A HUNDRED YEARS FROM NOW
              DOIN' THE BEST I CAN
              DONCHA' THINK IT'S TIME
              BEYOND THE BEND
BITTER THEY ARE, HARDER THEY FALL
              DOWN BY THE RIVERSIDE
              DOWN IN THE ALLEY
              BLUE MOON
              DARK MOON
              BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER
              DIRTY, DIRTY FEELING
              DO NOT DISTURB
              CLEAN UP YOUR OWN BACKYARD
              I FEEL SO BAD
I GOT A FEELIN' IN MY BODY
I JUST CAN'T MAKE IT BY MYSELF
              I SHALL BE RELEASED
              I SHALL NOT BE MOVED
              I WANT TO BE FREE
              I'LL NEVER LET YOU GO
I'M GONNA SIT RIGHT DOWN AND CRY
              I'M MOVIN' ON
              INHERIT THE WIND
IT AIN'T NO BIG THING (BUT IT'S GROWING)
              IT HURTS ME
              IT KEEPS RIGHT ON A-HURTIN'
              IT WON'T BE LONG
              IT'S A MATTER OF TIME
              IT'S BEEN SO LONG DARLING
              IT'S IMPOSSIBLE
              IT'S NOW OR NEVER
              IT'S STILL HERE
IT'S YOUR BABY, YOU ROCK IT
              LOVE COMING DOWN
              NEVER ENDING
              PARALYZED
              RELAX
              RELEASE ME
              SHOUT IT OUT
              SLOWLY BUT SURELY
              SO CLOSE, YET SO FAR
              SOFTLY, AS I LEAVE YOU
SOMEBODY BIGGER THAN YOU AND I
              WE'RE OMING IN LOADED
WHEN MY BUE MOON TURNS TO GOLD AGAIN
              WHY ME, LORD
              YOU GAVE ME A MOUNTAIN

Yeah that's all quite funny enough on its own. I cracked up reading that list. Almost makes me believe in fate, or precognition.

                Too funny.

Hello lorlie! Well...the good folks in Memphis say that the King died on the thrown. No disrespect to him... _hit just happens! But...what you state about the drugs...and and the fact that he was out of shape and had played a basketball game earlier that night...and the physical strain of the...you know...moment...collaborated together...as I heard it from more than one local...who had heard it from a friend of a friend...who happened to be a coroner. Anyways...that's how I heard it told in Memphis.

That being said...as a real bad way to go...Elvis was a legendary performer...that other performers marveled at (still do)...and that still out sells many famous current artists! I know I surely enjoy much of his music.

passed through Memphis a few years ago and of course had to make a stop to see Graceland - not all the tourist stuff - just took a pic in front of the gates to graceland on a motorbike - security guards coming along to escort us out of the way are in the pic too!  stopped by (forget the name of the place) where he did his early recordings.  the area was getting really busy with elvis fans because it was within a few days of the anniversary of his death.

Well, yes and no, he had a heart attack and was pronounced dead, but when he was taken to the morgue a vampire attendant noticed he had a pulse and turned him!

But since his system was so polluted with drugs the turn didn't work out too well, he seems to prefer cats blood over human blood!

It also explains all the sightings...

lorie6 hi! I think Elvis's death has been well reported over the years, his voice touched many follower's and melted hearts everywhere. It's a shame he died prematurely, he was loved and now missed by many. I believe his daughter and his astate will keep his music alive for a long time to come. Thank you for posting this forum... I'm one who enjoyed his music smile
