If you cut your finger down to the nerve, how long do you think it will take to heal?

I cut my finger on a knife at an angle. It sliced a ways in and looked deep. It was bleeding really good for awhile. It feels like I hit the nerve in my finger. How long do you think it might take to heal with a cut that deep?

the doc said he could sew the nerve, but there is no need as it will heal on it's own. It has been about 1 month now.

Sometimes I get a jabbing feeling like a needle in the end of my finger.

just a second or two. does it mean its healing?

See my doctor said they do?

    Is he blowing smoke?

I cut my hand with a bandsaw below my little finger, and it nicked the bone, and they said it nicked the tendon. I have numbness in the outside of my finger. feels like wood. will it go away.

The ER doctor told me it may never return. (feeling) I can move my finger pretty good. still can't close my fist all the way. If the guy I was working with had and mechanical know how, I would have let him cut the post. Maybe l should have let him.
