yes i think its enough, because more work can make you tired or somtimes lead you to a muscle hurts , as concern me 20 minutes its ok for everyday workout .
Exercise only accounts for about 20% of overall fitness....it is more important to eat correctly, because let's face it! you could workout for a couple hours and blow it by going through the drive thru at mcdonalds!
Well, I believe twenty minutes of extensive exercise can make you fit and healthy. It can be done if you keep a tab on your diet as well. It will definitely help to make you fit and healthy.

It depends what type of workout you are doing for the 20 minutes each day, and what you goals are.
If you do the same routine again and again, then you are not challenging your body and you won't see a big difference/result. For example, if you walk slow to briskly each day, it's great cardio, but not so much for muscle toning. It's still good to walk each day but progress to climbing stairs or include ankle weights for more challenge.
If you vary your workout and add weights, progressively using more weight or doing more reps of an exercise, then you will see more results.
I typically workout about 3 times a week, for at least 45 minutes. I think to see medium to high results, you have to work up a good sweat, vary your exercises and use free weights or kettle bells to include muscle tone and improve overall physique. Combining cardio with weight lifting is the best of both worlds, exercising your heart and toning your muscles!
Hope that helps.
Not twenty minutes of workout. You need to raise your heartbeat for twenty minutes. The time would depend on how long it takes to raise your heartbeat..then start counting
According to my doctor 20 minutes a day is enough to keep you fit and healthy.
The key is to change up the workout as often as possible. This keeps your body from getting used to doing the same workout over and over. It also keeps you from getting bored. Another tip my doctor gave me is to include weight bearing workouts. This will keep your bones healthy and strong as well as your muscles.
Yeah it is good enough to stay healthy and fit, but a regular work out is important whether for 20 minutes or more, it should be done regularly.
However this may produce great results, it will get to a point where you will get comfortable and you may have to up the workout, however it will give you results non the less.
It depends on how "hard" you're working out , I think (not that harder necessarily equals better!). If you're just walking for 20 minutes a day and that's about it, it isn't enough (although, I hear that walking is supposed to be some of the best exercise you can do.)
Yes it totally is if you just want to stay fit and healthy all the body requires is to get your heart rate high for a few minutes for body to go into work mode. For the rest of the day you will be burning calories when just doing daily activities.
Yes, twenty minutes work out every day is good for any body. The exercises keep the body in shape. It is enough if you are eating the rigth food. The best way to find out what is good the body. It is by visiting a good nutritionist. The nutritionist can plan the meals and the right food for the body. It is good to have discipline.
I think it depends on what you're doing. If this were 20 minutes of rigorous crossfit, I can imagine so. If it just entails walking for 20 minutes, probably not.
It all depends on what your diet is. Staying fit and healthy is easy. If you are going to try and gain muscle then you would need more, but to just be healthy is simpler. I would say just eat right and have some physical activity.
Depends what kind of workout. To stay fit and healthy one must follow an exercise program designed to meet the specific requirements of an individual's physical condition and needs. For example you could be jogging for 20 minutes a day with a poorly aligned body and causing more damage than benefit to the body. In addition, exercise only is insufficient to attain good health without taking into account dietary factors, good sleeping habits and a balanced life style. So there is a lot more to staying fit and healthy than working out in a gym for 20 minutes a day.
20 minutes a day of exercise is not an exaggeration to see positive results. If you were once a person that did not exercise at all, even the slightest bit of exercise would be a positive change in one's life. Exercise is only one portion of health and fitness. You can exercise for hours, but unless you are nutritionally taking care of your body the results may not show the way one desires. The body needs food for energy. Our bodies are very specific at what types of food it needs. Following the proper nutrition plan and yes a small time like 20 minutes/day of exercise is what will give you the positive results one wants in their health and fitness level.
It's depends on what type of workout you do. Fitness depends not only on workout 20 min/day but some other important factors are cooperate to be fit and healthy. I fell only workout for a few minutes regularly will not bring a good result.
I get up at 4 am and walk for 30 minutes before starting my day. Have been doing this for a while now, and my pot belly has never looked better.
20 min per day for me is super enought to stay fit and healthy
yes it is but you would want to slowly incress more time as you start progressing
You tend to burn more fat than muscle in a 20 minute workout so if you are keen to slim down and lose weight than a 20 minute workout is good for you. Over twenty minutes and you start burning muscle.
Yes, why not. We can reduce weight by this. I have implement this formula me and really I get a good results. Not only me, My friend also loose there weight by Implement this formula. Everybody must be try this, Its my personal suggestion.
Please give me answer of this question. I need it.
Can a person earn money online, who don't have any technical skills?
eat good protein sweets..lots of mineral water...good cooked food(i do my own cooking as I live alone...)
20 minutes a day is a good way to start out exercising. However, at some point you will plateau and you will no longer be losing weight. Fitness has various factors that you must consider, the main being what kind of work outs, and your diet. It would be ideal to make your goal an hour a day, and switch between muscle training, and cardio. For example, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday go running/jogging for an hour. Cardio is a wonderful way to lose weight, gain more energy, and just overall feel better. Besides, who can argue with a runners high?
Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday you should work on muscle training. Make sure you warm up with some stretches and a couple minutes of cardio, but then focus on your muscle training. Find items around the house, or gym if you're actually going to one, and lift. Lift lift lift! What this will do is take all the lose skin that you're getting from your cardio, and fine-tuning it into nice lean muscle.
The flip side to all of this is your diet. Make sure you eat well balanced meals all day, and you should probably count your calories to make sure you're not in taking more than you're losing. Make sure you eat breakfast, every single day. Eggs are a good source of protein, which is a great thing since you're working out.
Just make sure you don't overdo it. 20 minutes a day is great for starting, but make sure you try to up it to at least 60, and possibly more. Make sure you switch off your daily exercise. Running every other day, and muscle training every other day. Use Sunday to rest your body. And finally, be sure to eat balanced, low calorie meals so you can actually lose weight, and stay healthy.
I hope this helps. Good luck!
There cannot be time bound exercise. It all depends on physical feature, ability to do more exercise and above all interest to do exercise regularly.
I see it as, if you feel like you can do more without injuring yourself than go ahead.. 20 minutes is better than nothing. People can run 5KM in that amount of time.. Just depends what you do really!
A 20 minute a day workout could benefit you in different ways depending on your current level of fitness.
If you are just starting out and want to incorporate some sort of activity into your routine, then 20 minutes is great, especially for busier people. For these kinds of short workouts, it would be great to include more cardio or interval training to get the most out of the 20 minutes. Any workout is definitely better than none!
But after starting out with 20 minutes a day, I think it would be best to go into 30 minutes or more. This allows time for proper warm up and cool down, and at least 10-15 minutes of more intensive exercise to strengthen your cardiovascular system and make you feel more active.
FItnessblender.com has some great workouts that I've enjoyed. You can specify how long you want, and just workout along with it.
Have fun!
Yes. I believe so a good mixture of stretching and cross exercise. Like swimming, running, zumba, etc.
This will keep you healthy and active.
Twenty minutes is not enough for me. I can not maintain my preferred body weight if I exercise less than an hour per day. Right now, I shoot for three daily runs of half an hour each. Some days I do only two. I also spend at least two hours a week working out at the gym. My goal is to lose fat in favor of building a bit of muscle instead of just gaining the usual seasonal fat this winter.
Fantastic question! I think for us today as a society it is a good starting point. I would like to see further refinement with specific prescriptions given for daily stretching especially in the hospital setting.
For our society to advance, fitness needs to fully merge with health.
If you are a moderate eater of balanced food, I feel 20 minutes a day is good enough. Added to it, if you have some regular walking (say 15 to 30 minutes) and climbing of stairs casually in your office/ home a couple of times a day, then it would be very fine.
That is probably enough time if you were to work hard to be moderately healthy. You wouldn't be able to achieve great results but it would be better than nothing by far. Personally I believe an hour a day is more accurate to achieve great results from working out.
Workout routine should be such, which makes you happy. It shouldn't be something that you have to do it by forcing yourself. One could pick up a dance workout or maybe just a jog in the evening, just something that you want to do and not have to do.
I started with a rumba dance workout for 20 mins a day and it really helped. I was so convinced and content with the workout, that I added some crunches to it, to make it even more interesting.
So, its not really about the time, but its about liking it and making it a part of your routine.
Yes! It all depends on metabolism but you should take everything you can get. I masturbate once a day and I'm in fantastic shape
YES for beginners,Ultimately they need to SWEAT a lot and be ready for suffering(body pains which must be enjoyed).
Workouts depend on person age, sex and weight. Accordingly proper food patterns need to be followed. Both go together.
Whatever you do built up your strength each day. For good results I recommend forty hard minutes.
Make sure you PROGRESS ultimately that matters.
Depends upon the type of workout you are doing, your DNA structure, kind of metabolism you have and what is your diet. Every body reacts differently.
20 minutes/day are enough to just burn out the extra calories not for get in shape. Also you have to increase your time of workout after sometime to get the benefits of it.
Absolutely. Cardio one day, weight resistance another day. It works, and you can even take a day off. It also helps to incorporate new "sports" activities into your routine if you're the type who gets bored easily. As time goes on, you will automatically increase the weights you "resist" and jog a little faster. It all comes naturally and you don't have to increase your time unless you want to. Yea!
I think if you can workout or walk for 20 minutes a day that's a good thing and it is better than not working out at all. However, if you could exercise for 20 minutes - twice a day - you would see more benefits in regard to your health and fitness.
Yes, 20 minutes a day is plenty enough to stay fit and healthy.
20 minutes workout, i think enough if you do exercise every day as your daily routine. but if you only exercise twice or 3 times a week it might be better to add extra more time to burn more calories. but for 20 minutes workout wishing you to burn more calories, jumping rope are the most effective exercise to lose weigh, faster and effective way.
For me I think 20 minutes a day is good enough especially that we all lived in a fast-paced world now and most of us have busy lives, but I believe that fitness is a journey and a way of life. If you want to maintain a healthy and fit body then 20 minutes a day is enough, but if your goal is to lose weight then I agree with the top comment here that you have to consider many things such as strength, stamina, the food you eat, etc.
20 minutes a day is good but I think you need to break a sweat during it otherwise like others have said it is just maintenance. If that's all you need to stay in shape then I think it's perfect. In order to burn fat you'll have to work pretty hard!
When I was last trying to lose weight I did 20 minute a day workout routines. After around three weeks of doing this it raised my tolerance to do longer and longer workouts. Just 20 minutes can help get you in enough shape that your heart won't race badly, you won't feel soreness the next day, and other health benefits. If you don't exercise often then starting off with short ones can help get you into shape and prepare your body to do longer ones.
While 20 minutes a day may get you much more activity, and increase your overall health, you need at least half an hour to an hour of activity to really stay healthy in my opinion.
Depends on your lifestyle. If your body dictates that your able to workout for only 20 minutes and still be successfully fit then thats should work out fine. Letting your body dictate how many minutes your exercise intake is needed should suffice.
Yes , 20 minute is enough workout.
But which type of workout is this on depend
Yes, but it also has alot to do with your eating habits as well. I do 30 mins cardio workout daily, and eat a balanced diet. It has been working for me. Good luck to you!!
I think it's a realistic idea to fit it in everyday, whether you walk or do yoga. If you don't have enough time, try something shorter like five or seven minute workouts. If you do it regularly, you should feel better in no time.
