It depends on where you are geographically! I lived in Mexico in the summer time and we lived at a slow pace. We woke up in the early morning but by 11 am everyone was back in bed for their siesta / nap. Around 4 pm people were waking up again to have dinner and do house work. By 2 am it was back to bed. I think changing the patterns you live by help you deal with the heat.
I also lived in Yuma Arizona for many many years and unfortunately the air conditioner was the only way to beat the heat and if your AC broke then you had to go to a friend or neighbor’s house. Or cruise walmart
I now live in San Diego and we beat the heat by heading to the ocean!
I did not know about Siesta in s.America. I thought such a habit exists in Spain, Italy. Do you have siesta in winter too?
No the routine changes somewhat in the winter. The winter in this particular part of Mexico is very beautiful weather. Business close during the Hot Months because it would not be lucrative for them to stay open. They pay their employees a stipend.
I drive without airconditioning and drink a ton of water with some salt.
Not very creative but I turn on my Mitsubishi Air Conditioner. It costs almost nothing to run - so I turn it on and cool off.
Air conditioner I don't tolerate heat well, so I try to stay inside as much as possible.
Good answer! It inspires me to film snowfalls and to watch it in summer heat. :-)
Once I was in Puerto Rico, where it is both hot and humid, so I watched the movies "Dr. Zhivago" and "Lawrence of Arabia".
I live in England. Move here and you will never need to save yourself from summer heat.

I was reading something I thought was going to be funny and adorable but it ended up being an anti-religous hate article with anti-religious comments to boot. Someone in the comments posted, "Don't save yourself until after marriage to have sex. What if you're not sexually compatible...

Were smack in the middle of summer right now. That means there are many outdoor activities from recreation to work going on. Many wise tells from taking salt tablets to drinking pickle juice to name a few to rehydrate. How are you handling the summer heat?
