What does a couple do when the male can no longer have intercourse?

as in failure to have an erection?  How do you handle your intimacy issues when this happens?

There are several drugs out there that can help with this problem. I would suggest that he visit his doctor to find the right one for him. Hope is not lost.

      yes JThomp42,
I know there are meds available,  some do stress the heart,   I guess I wondered more of how men handle this issue  emotionally.   It must hit their pride pretty hard. smile

If your male partner cannot tolerate regular male enhancement medication, both of  you can visit a holistic physician that deals with alternative medicines or other heath remedies to address the problem at hand.   If the male partner is physically unable, one can practice other physical forms of intimacy e.g. cuddling and touch. Sexual relations are not the only avenues of expressing physical love & intimacy.

So true,  there are many forms of intimacy and you are quite right about this,
I think that this is mostly a huge hit to the male ego, and it is something to be understood.   I hope more men, will think less with ego, and more of solutions:)

First and foremost the man feel's he is a failure & he tries to put the blame on his partner saying she has not co-operated in a right manner or she is not showing interest like earlier etc.. This is just to satisfy his ego. At this moment woman has to control her emotions and make him feel comfortable saying "not to worry & we can try it later when you are more relaxed". Yes, it's not fair to always expect woman to be more understanding but after all the love & pleasure is equally shared.

At the same time Men should accept the fact that their libido & vigor are deteriorating which is basically due to hormonal chages along with the age which is quiet common. One more reason of ED could be Diabetis. While administering the aphrodisiacal medicines will help attaining the required erection, keeping the mind calm without anxiety is the pre-requisite.

Mind you, to have a great sex the important organ is mind not the other parts of the body. Man should not feel shy or disappointed if they fail to achieve an erection or ejacualates prematurely. They can use fingers or even may opt to satisfy his partner orally.
