So is that good nutrition, proper diet or diet along with gym or only doing work outs? which one will keep you healthy?
A single method or a combination?
I'd say look at an overall lifestyle that is healthy. Nutrition and exercise are the main focus by a lot of people. Avoiding things like drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc also help. Basically look at your lifestyle, then modify all the little bits and pieces for better health. If you think something is unhealthy, don't do it, if something is, consider it, see if it works for you.
yeah even though one has good diet, nutrition and exercise his life style will play a major role in that. if he/she is a smoker, alcoholic or drug addict, whats the use of balanced diet and gym
Definitely the combination. Be sure to track your resting heart rate and your body will tell you how you are doing on the exercise front.
I think it absolutely has to be a combination of the two! I would say it starts with nutrition because what you put into your body probably has the biggest affect on your health. For example, if you eat McDonalds every day and go to the gym for an hour, you still have all the chemicals and junk floating around in your bloodstream which will make you feel sick.
the biggest thing you can do for your health is not smoke. smoking kills more people than any other lifestyle factor.
second is aerobic exercise. get your heart rate up to 200 minus your age for at least 20 minutes 3X per week. more is better up to an hour per day. exercise helps heart, bones, mood, and brain for starters.
nutritious food, weight bearing and cardio exercise 5 times per week, eliminating high amounts of stress, adequate sleep, avoidance of drugs and excessive alcohol, proper immunizations, regular physicals to monitor health, a really good friend and a good dose of humor daily.
I think eating right is the best way to stay healthy. Exercise is also important.
Attitude. With the right attitude most of the other stuff just falls into place. With the right attitude you tend to turn to healthier choices simply because they feeeeeeeel right or feeeeeel better. It makes food choices and exercise fun.
With a REAL healthy balanced diet it is not necessary to workout, monitor anything or all the other ridiculous contortions. It is almost impossible to have a real healthy diet in the west because most of the cheap food is processed and pumped up with unwanted fats etc that are industry's way of getting cheap volume while slowly killing the population. Here in China we get our really cheap veg and today-fresh meat from the local (really super)market in the morning and the only processed foods we eat are dried pulses and the few flavourings like fermented black bean sauce.
If you live in a production factory society you are just a consumer, usually an unhealthy fat consumer.
To all this add keeping stress out, taking a positive approach to life, weeding out all negative thoughts , handling emotions like anger, hate, bitterness, anxiety, worry etc and this can be not only a healthy life style, but a winning combination.
yeah,,psychological well being is an important factor in deciding health
nutrition is first and foremost. People don;t need to work-out. If you eat properly and do minimal activity such as walking around it will be enough. working out by itself and eating bad foods does not go together once you become an adult.
you are absolutely rite..though a person does a good work outs cannot be healthy if his/her eating habits are poor.
Keeping excessive stress out of your body along with eating the right foods, proper exercising, and getting adequate amount of sleep will contribute to staying healthy. Too much stess can cause a person to get sick, and also attack body organs.
Like a tug of war one negative aspect of health is like an elephant pulling the rope on one side and all healthier aspects are very tiny animals pulling on other side.
One lazy or unhealthy habit is enough to get us down from good health.
Walk at least 2 times a day for half a hour each time, no processed food and no stress! For me the last is the hardest. I cannot stay away from stress.
Yeah. Walking is really healthy. It is very simple and not strenuous too
It's my way of thinking. And to habee, I am of the "male" sex.
I think you have to have a positive mental attitude first of all, then a healthy diet, then physical exercise -- including sex!
My job - I rush around the whole day mostly in the frsh air on the river (I work on tour boats).
Healthy life style-Healthy living-Good health
Exercise is the bodily activity that help to increase the strength and physical fitness.Exercise keeps our body relaxed and give you strength to do work and kept away from obesity. And it also helps in our Sexual Life.Exercise boost the immune system and prevent from the diseases like Diabetes, muscular disease, heart disease, etc.
Simple workouts daily with good and balanced diet keeps us healthy.
I try to be physically active everyday
Eat smaller meals
Not too much ice cream:)
- And I detox cleanse 2x per year:)
Eating heavily once is not good. Eat at less but at regular intervals. It will help in digestion and proper absorption too
Well vydyulashashi,
According to me a healthy person should be completely fit on physically as well as mentally. To be a healthy person there should be a proper routine. and this routine starts from early morning. First get up early in the morning. Go for jogging daily. Take a bath and after that do some exercise.
Take a healthy food in your breakfast like milk, fruit, dry fruit etc. In the lunch you can eat anything Veg or non veg. In the evening take some light food.
Try to keep away of your body from any type of stress and strain.
Avoid smoking and drinking. I think this is the way to remain fit physically as well as mentally.
Thank You
Yes you are absolutely rite. A person cannot be said to be healthy if and only if he/she is physically fit. The psychological health is also a major factor to keep us healthy. A person is said to be healthy if he/she is physically and mentally sound.
Always welcome.
Hope to see you coming up with more tips and suggestions.
Hi how are you? Yeah took some time off and might continue for few weeks further.
Any more ideas on health?
looks like you are taking less care of your health working late, How is your adsense health, has it worked for you?
Hi. NO!!!!! A big HELL NO...is what adsense is replying to my application.
They always reject my hubpages app.
Hello
I would say the most important thing is to be happy and have a positive mindset.
And also I would say diet and exersize come as one, and what I mean about that is there's no point working out if you have a terrible diet and vice versa.
Hope I helped
You can have all the best diets and exercise plans in the world but they won't do a thing if you don't want to lose weight.
Many people they start strong and hard on their diet and weight program but then give up.
In three month they give in because they don't see the results they want.
For some people it is more difficult to attain their goal then others.
If you stick with it,you will get there. You need to take a life change you didn't gain weight over night.
You will only get out what you put in, if you put in some effort then you should see results.
Be perfectly happy with what you are and see yourself as being perfectly healthy, but avoid mentally perceiving yourself as ill, and then trying to compensate for it with diet and exercise. See yourself as healthy, first, then good health will follow, for you will naturally make wise decisions that will promote your health and well-being.
You are absolutely rite. The concept of complete health is not mere absence of a disease, its wellness of physical and mental status of a human.
What really keeps you healthy? Eat less. Eat simply. Do the work you love. Breathe in fresh air!
