Do you prefer to dine out or eat at home on Christmas Day?
I had been dining at home on Christmas Day for years. Th last time I dine out on Christmas Day was 20 years go. Meals are expensive and so are parking fees. Exorbitant fees. Dining at home maybe be boring but comfy. What do you think?
Dining at home is perfect for me, Christmas is family time. What could be more perfect than seating in a dinner table with your family reminiscing about growing up times and beautiful moments you shared as a family, these moments are priceless and they create priceless memories.
you said it well, best time to be with family, merry christmas
There is nothing that compares to eating your Christmas Dinner at home with family.
@Carol,
true, this year, i will be eating at home, pancakes in the morning and fried rice for dinner, poor man dishes!
I have only dined out years ago before kids when I lived far from family and I sure hope I never have to do that again. There is nothing like the family get togethers and of course that always includes food! Part of the magic.
i had dined out since dating days, after that no more, merry christmas
At home for sure. Unfortunately, we often have to spend most of our holiday traveling back and forth from relative to relative, but I prefer the years where we can spend quiet time at home and have dinner here that we prepare together.
yes, home sweet home is the best, merry christmas
Dining at home is best for me since it saves money in the budget. Dining out costs more and due to meals for only one (possibly 3), I do not believe it is worth it.
true, food prices are going u, might as well cook more at home, merry christmas
If I cook too much hen I can simply freeze it to have other times.
I eat at home. If I eat out on Christmas day it means places have to be open on Christmas. That means the employees have to work on Christmas and can't be with their families.
yeah, you made a good point, we should eat at home so that the waiters could eat with their families
I don't think I have ever dined out on Christmas. I enjoy being at home with family and friends, although the cleanup afterward can be horrendous.
yes, the cleanup can be a chore, unless yr adult kids could help around
i enjoy the traditional family gathering at a family members home. sometimes we switch it up by changing which family member is hosting but it's always a covered dish. We all get to show off our cooking and creative skills.

Do you prefer to cook your own meals or go out to eat?I enjoy cooking evening meals, but too often I hear people complain that they don't have the time to cook. They would rather spend an hour or more in a restaurant. Does that not take time? Which do you prefer - cooking or dining out - and why?

Where will you be and what will you do this Christmas Day?I will be in Bad Kissingen, a town flowing with mineral springs and music. We have just rented an apartment in the town center. Our building is part of the original wall, centuries old, and we look out one window to the cathedral spire. If...

I can't say I've heard of Christmas till I arrived in NZ 10 years ago. New Years Day was the big celebration and still is for me. Having said that, today, every christmas we generally do the same routine - pull out the christmas tree, hide those presents and fire up the ovens! How do you celebrate...
