Higher than the Rooftop : Lost in the Rain...
It’s almost eight and I’m cheerless because I wouldn’t be in here longer than I want to. My day has been terrible not only for the mishaps I've met before going here but also for forgetting my jacket. Right about now, a mist of cold air whirls around me. Oh, God please don’t let it rain just now.
As I look up above, a droplet fell directly to my grande…I realized it’s a mocha latte I’m holding. Seems one mishap is blessing in disguise. I guess it’s heaven’s hint to start sipping it while it’s hot. Hmmm, maybe I should indulge to latte these coming days.
This is such a heavenly feeling, being in a soaring place under the stars…higher than everything and everyone else. Though tonight the stars are hiding…Yet I don’t care. I’m not in the mood to make a wish because I don’t know what to wish for…
Been here in a hundredth…and thousands of confusions have been cleared on here… thousands of overjoyed been thanked to the heavens…thousands of anguish been screamed…I’ve been here, in this reserved rooftop…but somewhere between the hundredth, the rain never poured until now…
And so I am standing here, in my rooftop, under the rain. I’m all wet but I’m fighting the shivers. This is my first rainy rooftop moment. And I never thought it’d be this crazy…it feels good but I know it’s gonna make me sick...
All my life, I lived by rules...followed them, broke them. I lived my dreams…aimed them, reached them. I chased my wants…got them, lost them. Right now, it feels like I don’t know what I want anymore. But it’s kinda nice not knowin’ what am I gonna do next…
And so I am standing here, in this reserved rooftop…
lost in the rain…the only thing that washes my longings…
lost in the rain…the only thing that stops me from pretending I’m tough…
lost in the rain…like I said, it feels good but I know it’s gonna make me sick…
lost in the rain but higher than the rooftop…
