Hide in Plain Sight

Nothing is What it Seems…

My four previous attempts to write about why I wrote my book in hubpages were flagged as a “duplicate.” When you enter the name of my book: “Eyes Wide Shut: An Enigma,” the first four - five pages of results are about my book, or activities I have done in regard to my book. Perhaps something I wrote somewhere has been flagged. Here goes my last attempt to write an “original” article explaining my motivation and background that evolved into my book!

Background of My Book, “Eyes Wide Shut: An Enigma”

Nope, not gonna indicate my webpage for fear of being labeled as a “duplicate,” if curious, enter the above name of my book into the Google search engine. My book (not published yet - August, 2011) reflects my experience in Joint Chiefs of Staff - Far East and Crypto assignments in Top Secret endeavors... I am sure my experiences are not “unique” in terms of others engaged in Top Secret activities that are aware of the “Need to Know” basis of security… It is simplistic, yet effective manner that limits the possibility of “secrets” being passed to the “other side.” When one is cloaked in the dark veil of secrecy, one may be placed in a position of “deniability,” where the normal chain-of-command breaks down.

The murky world of the “bad guys and good guys” is a dynamic one of blended black to white, with no clear-cut boundaries. Today’s friends may be tomorrow’s enemy. Or, today’s friends may become “expendable” for the better of a perceived good of the “whole.” Who decides what the “whole” is, may not be clear, or known. One is trained to “execute” one’s orders and not ask questions.

Individuals are “eliminated” on an on-going basis. An example: a spy is followed for a period of time (sometimes for years) and when it is decided by “someone” to eliminate them, (lots of “valid” reasons, for example: an activity, or project may be Top Secret and no publicity can be allowed, or the scope of the spy network has been determined, and etc.). Orders are given to eliminate them in a manner that will not cause alarm. They may be “eliminated” via natural “causes,” accidents, diseases, heart attacks, (science is creative) – the need determines the manner - and etc. This has happened all throughout history – no big deal…

Micro Scale – No Accountability – Hide in Plain Sight

My concern was and is, who decides who dies? There is no accountability. No one knows. It is done in plain sight… with government funding. So far, this could be “bad,” or a good thing…. but this is just the tip of the “iceberg.” How are these “special” skills monitored? What happens when their “skills” are no longer needed? Do they simply forget how to “get away” with murder?

Macro Scale – No Accountability Leadership

Given the activities of a single individual enforcing orders with no accountability, the possibility exist to create “bad” leaders that hide in/behind “Black-Box” unlimited Top Secret funded Projects with no accountability. Sometimes the “leaders” create themselves with “hidden agendas.” This is my concern.

Behavior Modification – Unintended Consequences

Behavior modification is a science... As noted by Jaroslav Flegr, Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Science, Charles, University, Vinicˇna´ 7, CZ-128 44 Praha 2, Czech Republic. “Possible mechanisms by which T. gondii may affect human behavior include its effect on dopamine and on testosterone.”

Behavior Modification – Military and Civilian Applications Unlimited

“You want to know something utterly terrifying? Here's something terrifying and not surprising. Folks who know about Toxo and its effect on behavior are in the U.S. military. They're interested in Toxo. They're officially intrigued. And I would think they would be intrigued, studying a parasite that makes mammals perhaps do things that everything in their fiber normally tells them not to because it's dangerous and ridiculous and stupid and don't do it. But suddenly with this parasite on board, the mammal is a little bit more likely you go and do it. Who knows? But they are aware of Toxo” (Toxoplasma gondii). Robert Sapolsky is a professor of biological sciences at Stanford University and of neurology at Stanford's School of Medicine.

Toxoplasma (T. gondii) – Behavior Modification - Military “Tool Kit?”

Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) is ONE area, not THE ONLY AREA of behavior modification. What is T. gondii? Short answer is it is a parasite that half the world is infected by it. There is no cure. It is the leading cause of birth defects. The leading cause of aborted babies… leading cause of AIDS death… It changes our behavior. It has changed entire cultures. France is an example. Brazil is another…

The T. gondii DNA can be modified the same as E.coli DNA which has been modified to produce human insulin. This has been achieved using Recombinant DNA technology. T. gondii is from a parasite that has infected at least 30% of us in the USA. In France over 80% are infected. Rats infected with T. gondii are attracted to cats (it creates a “sexual urge that dominates other desires). T. gondii must live in cat's intestine to complete their life cycle. Cats eats the rats and the cat feces spreads the T. gondii. The oocysts (eggs) are very hardy, able to lie dormant in a hard-protected "shell" for years to be washed down gutter into sewers, into rivers into our oceans. All of the seals dead around Morro Bay, California are infected... Morro Bay dumps their sewage two miles off-shore. California Aqueduct channels water with dumped "treated" sewage (does not kill T. gondii - treatment is available, but is expensive) for 24 million Southern California people to drink.

"Toxo-infected humans have proclivity towards doing dumb-ass things that we should be innately averse to, like having your body hurdle through space at high G-forces. They are more impulsive.” Says, ROBERT SAPOLSKY who is a professor of biological sciences at Stanford University and of neurology at Stanford's School of Medicine.

Can you image the possibilities of T. gondii DNA being modified for specific behaviors?

This is real... research it. DO SOMETHING! T. gondii has huge possibilities for "evil" people... This is not science fiction...

My passion and fear-driven behaviors guarantee my success in success in obtaining "Best Seller" status. The money part is nice, but it is a bonus... My behavior-driven goal is to educate, to raise awareness of what is happening...

As a former Science Instructor, I am a science fan. As a former member of the Armed Services, I am concerned of unchecked, not accountable behaviors and activities...

I do not know the answers. I am aware of some of the "concerns." There are more "out there projects" that are in plain sight.

The issue of leadership being not accountable with the means to accomplished hidden agendas is frightening...
