   There are so many that I really can't pick one. However, I can name some of the authors who influenced and helped me the most: Dale Carnegie, Norman Vincent Peale, Napoleon Hill, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Joe Vitale, Neville Goddard, and Jose Silva.

   ooohhh...that's a hard one. I'm not sure this is the MOST influential/inspirational book I've read, but I'll go with To Kill a Mockingbird. Atticus Finch inspires me so much, even though he's a fictional character. The film's inspirational too :p

   I don't know which category this fits under... well there are video clips about it, although I heard the story as a presentation. The 'Thankyou Water' project is to sell bottled water, with all the proceeds going towards water projects in third-world countries. The creator is a young Australian in his early 20s, and he did some research on both the booming bottled water industry in Australia and the millions of people in poorer countries who do not have access to clean drinking water, something we take for granted. His not-for-profit team is already working hard on wider distribution of the water throughout Australia and has provided the means for thousands of people in third world countries to build water purifiers in their communities (a much more effective form of aid than simply throwing money at them).    I have lived an amazing life so there are many..... but to keep this at a reasonable length I will say....
   
   Book:  Any of the Robert Fulghum books; Illuminata by Marianne Williamson; I Know Why the Gaged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou..... so many more.
   
   Song:  Yes Jesus Love me (because it is the first song I remember my mother singing to me;  Amazing Grace because I still remember the person singing it and how it made me feel and think about things after

   The book I find most surprisingly inspirational, that I didn't think would have the impact it did, was "Open", the autobiography of Andre Agassi.  Outward apprearances of a tennis star is one thing but to see how he channelled success to help others was wonderful.

    To date, each responder has blessed me with incredibly inspiring answers. I can almost feel the wheels turning and the mind and hearts reeling from the impact of the original works.
    I am truly grateful for these comments. If more show up, I'll include them in advance of their writing!

    Oh, and by the way, there were too many for me to mention but, "Callings...How to Live an Authentic Life" by Gregg Levoy is one that is well written and revealing!
    But there are others! "Untethered Soul" by Michael Singer and "Mutant Message Down Under" by Marlo Morgan and on the net, the story of Nick Vujicic.

    Just one?!  In addition to books, movies and songs, I find the Olympic Games very inspirational.  Watching athletes give it their all after training for years is amazing.  More so - when they have to overcome odds or injury during or prior to an event.

    I have just read Alchemist by Paula Coelho. This is one of the most inspirational books I have ever read. The main character follows his dream no matter what obtacles lay in his way.
    
    I find that most books inspire me one way or another when I am surrounded by doers, not talkers.
