Writing is freedom. I can voice any emotion and thought into the written word.
I write because I have a deep urge to release my thoughts, feelings and opinions. It's freeing...
I have to do it in order to live. I actually can't think without a pen in my hand.
To allow the overflow of emotions and thoughts that fill my mind free for the world to share.
Writing is my life. I am writing since when I was 5 years old.
I write because its my only medium in expressing my emotions, it my means of telling the people how I feel.
Freedom. The burning need to create. The vain hope of someday writing something that will change the world, or at least one person's world.
To express myself, to release stress, to share thoughts and ideas, to express joy and triumph, all kinds of reasons, but those are some that I can pinpoint this minute. I enjoy that creative part of myself, while all of my writings on Hubpages are based on true experiences, I love to write, period. Been doing it since I was very young.
1. I exercise my fine motor skills.
2. I formulate my thoughts into coherent sentences. (Coherent? I hope so... LOL)
3. I enjoy the process.
4. It helps me achieve closure on certain issues - once it is written, it leaves my mind...
5. I love words.
6. It helps me remember.
7. It is one of the creative outlets that is open for everyone.
I think all writing is creative - even if it is only writing "To Do Lists".
Because it flows through my veins, it burns through my skin, it mingles with my breath and is coded into my genes.
I have been telling stories and writing ever since I learnt to hold a pen and I just can't stop!
It is the act of creation that gives me great pleasure, freedom, therapy and connectedness with others.
I write because I feel. Its an outlet for my expression, thought, life experiences and creativity..
I write because it is as necessary as breathing to me. I heal, feel, love, rage, praise, confirm...all thru this keyboard. If I stopped I am certain I would go insane.
Art and writing are what keep me sane...welcome to my sanity!
I write to learn, I also learn to write, writing just enriches the knowledge which already exists on us. Writing is also a pleasure.
Because I love it and because I can't remember a time when I wasn't writing!
The reason why you write actually has a big impact on how you write and what you write about, and understand that identifying this reason can actually help you write better and work faster towards achieving that goal.
To get my opinions ad feelings out. It's a way vent anger, sadness and all those emotions you just can't say to people.
I write because it's what comes naturally to me. Writing is the thing I feel I'm best at without effort on my part. By "best at" I mean compared to my other interests and activities, not that I think I write better than everyone else, for the record.
In school and offline, my writing has always stood out and it seems to be a way to indulge the more eccentric quirks of my personality without starting a riot. You call someone an idiot in person: they may punch you. You write 450 words of hilarity and context about how they're an idiot and...well they'll still probably punch you if they can find you but the audience would enjoy the exchange more.
Its a great way to express yourself and to impact someones life without you even knowing it.
because it seems a better outlet than throwing things at people or going postal,.... i'm glad i've found hub pages, nice place to throw things up against the wall and see if they stick.
I write for fear of being forgotten, by giving my thoughts to paper, I'm leaving a part of myself that will endure and even if one person in a million years reads something I write, I will not have been completely forgotten!
I write because it's like letting my soul fly. It lets me escape this dimension and create little people. I love it! ^_^
i write because i want to express my deepest feelings and emotions. i know i belong to old school to our new generation with my age at 24 i love to write love letters to the one i love the sincerity is there
I like to write and i love to write. Only that reason i am writing.
It helps me better communicate with people around me. I can let them know how i feel about something or someone through writting without really having that communication with them face to face.
Writing is the power from within my soul, a gift from GOD,that I am now learning to share with the world, thanks to my guiding ANGELS.
I write so that one day someone may read my work or works and be inspired. If i can change one person's life, then i have done my job as a writer. The money is merely a bonus to an already fulfilling reward.
i write because it lets me escape from the world of terror and action to the world of fantasy and a whole load of shit
I write for catharsis, to purge that nagging feeling inside.
For enjoy. As writing is my hobey and again through this i can share my knowledge.
I write to help people in achieving greater knowledge on things they don't understand. I wanna change the world.
Reason is i can express my feeling thrue writing and if somebody appreciate it I'm more inspired.

Why do we write continuously? For enjoyment? To impress? For fame? For money? To communicate our thoughts?Nothing better to do?

Why do you write? Why is it important for artist to make art and for writers to write?Do you think, we as writers, artists, musicians make a difference to our world?I, for one, did not grow up in an environment that encourages and rewards creativity. In my world, it seems far more important to have...
