   Well I don't know where I'm going, so I don't know what I'll need.  Is it a stranded island or am I just moving?  I'll answer like it's being deserted somewhere.
   
   So a compass so I know where I'm going
   
   a bow and arrow with a bunch of arrows for hunting
   
   and a very highly magnifying glass to start fires

   My laptop, a dress and cell phone. I can buy a toothbrush and toiletries when I get to my destination but I need a change of clothes and my essentials.

   My laptop, passport, and debit card.  Family photos, important phone numbers, and documents to prove who I am are already scanned into the laptop. Underwear, toiletries and a change of clothes I can get when I get wherever I'm going! ;D

    If you're having to leave and never come back, you have to shed all the things in your prior life and start anew. I would take my Bug Out Bag, my pistol, and ammo. Anything else is just dead weight.

    My ID, cell phone and wallet with credit cards and cash.  That should keep me going until I got settled somewhere else.  With the cell I could let family and friends know where I am, money and credit cards to keep going till I got a job and settled, and you always need your ID
