I am starting a thread for people to post their poetry hubs. I think this will make it a little easier for all of us to get some more exposure. So I will go first, here is my first poetry hub: <snipped> . Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think.

the Dust, the Dust
by Wytchewoode
the Dust, the Dust
I remember the men,
their faces blackened with filthy coal
layers of carbon dust on skin,
slowly lining their lungs thick.
I think of them in the twilight,
two miles underground
hewing with axe and pick,
shirtless bodies glistening with sweat like morning dew
I see them coming home,
tired of the black
eyes like pissholes in the snow
unaccustomed to the light
and then,
and then their golden voices sing in Male Voice Choirs
in the softest way,
that only they,
the men of the Dust know how
and only they know how,
oh how the Dust will end their days
coughing, spluttering, heaving chest,
gasping for one last struggling final breath
and then,
and then the silence of their corroded lungs
followed by the womens' quiet tears
for another tonne of that damned black coal
one more husband, son and father is laid to rest.
http://hubpages.com/hub/the-Dust-the-Dust
http://hubpages.com/hub/page-1-poetry 3 poems
http://hubpages.com/hub/more-poetry-2 3 more poems
Mine are relatively short, so I put three on a page.
In loving memory
when saying
"hello"
is no longer an option
when saying
"I love you"
is no longer enough
all I still have
to tell you dear father
is that
today
I miss you
a lot more than the day before
and without doubt
much less than
tomorrow
I don't mind people sharing a sample of their work, but please include a poetry hub in your post as well. But I do like the poem, it has a heartfelt longing.

warning: poem has allusions to sex
http://hubpages.com/hub/My-Deadly-Sin (this is my favourite)
http://hubpages.com/hub/Its-a-Wonderful-Lie (this one is fairly depressing)
http://hubpages.com/hub/Masquerade (this is just random)
shapeless & transcendent
I am shapeless, I am
transcendent, I am
moving through birdsong
as dawn gently breaks through
the clouds of my mind
I am weightless, I am
resplendent, I am
ecstatic to find
the keys that release
the mental chains that bind
I am boundless, I am
ever-present, I am
free to perceive
all that I am and all that is me
And all that I am
and all that is me
is the freedom to be
shapeless and transcendent,
weightless and free
I am shapeless, I am
transcendent, I am
moving through birdsong, I am
free to be me
Wytchewoode
This is a good poem, it is very wistful and surreal, and it gives a feeling of personal freedom. But please do list a poetry hub in your posts in addition to any samples of your work.
Wytchewoode thank you for posting this poem.
I love it; it is one of the best poems I read in Hubs
<snipped>
lovely idea, look forward to reading everyone else's work on here.
There is a beauty in solitude only the solitary know. There is a sadness in being . . .

Here's one I wrote 20 seconds ago It's not been edited or reviewed though...
Faculties of frivolity,
Signs to suit the blind,
Drugs to calm the mind.
Welcome to the land of hunger.
Material is immaterial;
The sounds are shades of silence
And the water has run dry.
Welcome to the town of emptiness.
Persecute the persecutors,
Their screams are those of love.
Clean your mind of cleanliness.
Welcome to your world.

Thought that this new thread would make it easier for everyone to share their hubs for the Hub Challenge.....jimmyhere is my first http://hubpages.com/hub/Ladies-Rolex-Watches

Post them in here. Please don't post them in other threads, or start multiple threads for individual hubs, as it will quickly fill up the sub-forum and make it harder for people to offer advice when help is being sort. So, post links in this thread. Nowhere else. Thanks!

Hello Fellow Hubbers,One of the freelance jobs that I'm currently doing allows me to place appropriate links, as long as they are not directly to my own work.Rather than post links to random search results, I thought I'd ask around at HP to see if anyone has any great hubs on the subjects I'm...

Thank you to everyone who contributed to last week's Welsh HubMob, the response was amazing, 47 hubs published in a week. Most of us who were not familiar with Wales and its enormous influence to the USA and worldwide culture in general, have learnt a few things last week. Hopefully...
