      Hello Brenda!
I really enjoyed your interesting poems. I am aware about the Black Friday sales. Quite similar to the festival discount season in India, around Diwali, Holi and other festivals. You expressed everything so well through your poem.
      Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Misbah for sharing Brenda's wonderful response to the word prompt.

I hope your sales don't get as ruthless as here in the United States.

People are quite rude and push you right out of the way.

        Out for themselves.

Of course the stores only stock a certain quantity and then it's gone.

Thank you, Misbah, for sharing Brenda's post.

The poems, "Black Friday Rush" and "In-Store Shopping" are quite pragmatic and I agree with your viewpoints. "Xmas Shopping Ritual by Men" is so funny and gave me a chuckle. Thank you, Brenda, for your uniquely wonderful poetry.

I used to enjoy it, but people are like mad animals.
I steer clear of them these days.

Thank you for sharing Brenda’s post, Misbah. You did an excellent job with these poems, Brenda. If it wasn’t for my wife most of the Christmas shopping would be waiting until the last minute too. She keeps her eye out for bargains throughout the year and stores them away until Christmas. So it is just a few last minute gifts that couldn't be obtained earlier.

      Thank you.
I used to do the same.  I was always on the look out for a good bargain.
It always seems to help, except I think I might buy a little more because I add a few last minute thimgs to what I've already purchased.

The latest I ever started was September, but this year is different.

I've only purchased a couple of tiny things & I'm planning on going this week.

I'm glad you enjoyed my work.

Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed reading these poems. They resonated a lot. Back in the day, January sales were big in the UK. People used to camp out to be near the front of the queue when the stores opened to clear out their surplus Christmas stock. How much life has changed.

After Christmas, there are tons of sales.

Sometimes I think I should wait and have Christmas in January so I can get the great bargains, but those must have items are usually sold out.

But all Christmas related tems are 50 to 75% off.

Thanks for posting this article, Misbah. Blessing and love.

Excellent poems Brenda. I enjoyed reading them. The discounts during these sales are so tempting. But can't imagine shopping in that mad rush. Thanks Misbah for sharing.

I thought I replied to your comment, but I don't see it.
That cyber cookie monster is quite hungry.

Those discounts are tremendous....that's what makes us go out into that mad rush.
