      Hello Umesh ji!
Nice response to the word prompt, Patience.
Your poem is a good example of Patience, but I feel sad for that girl. May be, she should have expressed her feelings to the boy- - -.
Some people have more patience than others.
Thank you for sharing this engaging story.
Thank you Misbah, for sharing this in the forum.

Thank you for sharing Umesh’s wonderful story, Misbah.
Umesh, I enjoyed this poem even though it was a one-sided love story and had a sad ending. The girl showed so much patience but in the end it led to nothing. Maybe she should have taken a chance and revealed to him her feelings. He may have rejected then but at least she would not have wasted so much time hoping.

A lovely poem Umesh. I enjoyed reading it though it has a sad ending. I felt sorry for the girl but admired her patience. A good response to Brenda' s word prompt of this week. Thanks Misbah for sharing.

    Umesh
"Dark Shadow of the Patience " shows us how one can be sad when he has too much patience.

She waits on her childhood friend to display affection for her, but says nothing.

They are close childhood friends &  grow up together.

Even though they were opposites in things they enjoy, he held a special place for her in his heart.

She love for him but waits for him to initiate it and says nothing.

Then they chose different career paths & go separate ways.

They continue to chat but soon their contact decreases to only occasional times like on Christmas.

She feels sad and still thinks about him often when she remembers the times they shared.

    I'm with John...it doesn't hurt to take a chance..

I'll post a link in the word prompt article.

I agree with John and Brenda.  She should have taken a chance and let him know of her love for him.
