Thank you Chitrangada for the kind words. I agree  the toughest test of patience is parenting.  Patience is a virtue and it can be practiced. I am glad you liked my poem and article. Happy New Year to you and your family. Have a great day and week.

    Vidya
In your article "Poem In Praise of the Virtue of Patience" you bring up a good point.

Our ancestors had alot of patience despite their hardships.

You tell us that Patience can be defined as the ability to accept delay, problems or discomfort without getting angry or upset.

That we often get stressed & angry when things don't go according to plan like waiting forever on a taxi or standing in line at the grocery.

This is when having patience is a good virtue.

You give some great examples that try our patience like traffic jams and waiting for a long time in a doctor's office.

You tell us that parenthood & being in the medical field are areas where patience is needed the most.

You point out that practicing patience makes us better people.
We are more empathetic, kinder, have lasting and meaningful relationships, while we achieve our goals if we preserve this kind of attitude.

Your poem, "Poem-In Praise of the Virtue of Patience" shows us the value of being patient.

It's needed to succeed & helps us to overcome roadblocks.

When you accept others how they are, you build a strong relationship.

Having patience isn't easy, especially when your time is already scheduled, but it will keep you happy.

This is a great piece of writing.  Well done.

    I already posted the link.

    Have a great day.

Thanks Brenda for the encouraging words. You have explained it perfectly. I am honored. Yes the moment I saw the word prompt patience, I was reminded of traffic jams and billing counters, hospital visits and patience testing incidents when my children were growing up. So I tried to include all of it in the article and poem. I am glad you liked it. Have a great week ahead, stay blessed.
