         Thanks for the uplifting comments. I am happy you liked my response and found the poems motivating. It is an interesting prompt and it made me think as to how often we don't taking chances for fear of the risks involved and later regret about it. I enjoyed writing about it too.    I'm happy to be back.  Let's just hope I can stay with course.
   
   Your quote is so true we all have to make the decision for ourselves.
   
   
   When we take chances we are setting ourselves up for either a win or a failure.
   
   We have to be ready to accept whatever outcome plays out.
   
   
   In your poem "give yourself a chance"  You show us that we should take a chance.
   
   We will never know and we might regret the opportunity if not taken.
   Sometimes things will work out and we might really find our dreams.
   
   We'll never know if we don't try.
   
   Chance-An Acrostic Poem
   Shows us that we need to change our mindset & take the risk.
   It's better to take the chance than to have regrets later.
   Either way, we gain so much.

I am glad you liked my response. I have often faced this dilemma in life,  whether to take a chance on something or not. The risks associated with taking a chance often deter us.     These poems are a terrific response to Brenda's prompt. You encourage us to take that chance in life so we do not live with regrets. I think that is so true. As you said we tend to want to stay in the comfort of what we know, but the rewards can be so good when we do take that risk. These are both well-written poems.

       Dear Pamela, thanks for the kind comments. It is true that in life we get many chances, but the fear of the unknown makes us reluctant to take them and later we regret. But those who are brave and take the chances without fear of the risks very often succeed and get ahead. I enjoyed writing the poems and am glad that Brenda is back with the word prompts to encourage us. Have a blessed week ahead my friend.
