   Your first attempt at a blitz poem was a success. This is such an important lesson for all.  Self-respect is crucial for happiness and peace of mind. It took me years to find it, but now that I have, the difference in me, as a human being, is remarkable.

    Self respect is very important as you point out, but I love this part:
    
    When a person is honest and kind and acts with dignity, he or she earns the respect of others. 
    
    
    You've done a wonderful job combining the Blitz Poem with the word prompt in your "Poem-Self-Respect is the Goal -Response to Brenda Arledge’s word prompt week 49".
    
    Your words tell us how great it is to wake up each day having self respect for yourself.
    By setting your own boundaries & enjoying what interests you, you grow & achieve happiness.
    
    You can find happiness in helping others.
    
    Success is hard work but it shows us the purpose of our life
    
    Life is a difficult journey, but the purpose to life is happiness.
    
    Be compassionate & find contentment.
    Have gratitude & you will find peace of mind.
    
    Treasure each moment & keep memories close to your heart.
    
    Trust your instincts & set boundaries, but know that respect is earned.

After I saw word prompt 'Respect', the word that first came to my mind was self-respect. And it became the theme of my  poem. Keep inspiring us with wonderful prompts.
