Please take some time to read Vanita’s article.
    Hello Vanita!
Well expressed and thoughtful article by you. I, especially liked to read your insightful reflections, with special reference to the great R. K. Narayan and ‘Guide’ is praiseworthy. The concluding part of Guide with the teachings of Bhagwad Gita influenced me greatly, in my younger days.
Great quotes and an insightful article.
    Thank you for sharing.

      Hello, Chitrangadaji !!
Thanks for sharing the article here and also for your fine comments.
Guide was a superhit movie - a masterpiece in Indian cinema. It is the favourite movie of many, many people, including some of my friends and relatives. I love all its songs very much. The end was very touchy, with a spiritual hue. I always wished Raju would have survived smile smile .... Perhaps his death was a more realistic end to the story.

Hello, Bill !! Happy to hear from you.
Indian culture traditionally immensely appreciates womanhood. Women were learned and graceful and were treated with equivalence and chivalry. In the Vedic texts, significant contributions from women seers and poetesses are there ....
I am glad that I am introducing you to wider horizons of cultural diversities. I too get to learn a lot from your articles and your blessings and support are invaluable to me. Thanks for your encouragement.

Hi Vanita, good work on this one. I enjoyed reading the recap of R.K Narayan's Guide. The movie was my favorite because of the music and dance and great performances by the protagonists. The quotes are also good. It is very difficult to find a true well wisher these days. Thanks for sharing Chitrangada.

Thanks, dear Peggy for coming by and commenting here. Happy to hear from you.
The movie had a lot that interested me - music was at its center, which drew me towards it. Social issues, spirituality and faith, environmental issues and many such relevant matters were interwoven very skillfully in it. So, it was a superhit movie which people still remember and talk about.
