I love this poem, John! Does this mean you'll be bringing back the Off The Shelf series?

      Thanks for sharing, Pamela.

I am glad you loved this one, Shauna. I guess this should have been part of the ‘Off the Shelf’ series, so maybe it has never gone away.

I enjoyed reading your poem, John. I remember reading Animal Farm in school. It is a good story. I doubt they read it in many schools in the U.S. now since it shows the problems with socialism. The teacher's union is very liberal here. I did like your article.

Thank you for sharing my poem, Pamela. I don’t know that they read Animal Farm in schools here either. I didn’t read it till years later. Pity. I guess authorities don’t really like people knowing what society is like, or being compared to animals.

John, thank you for this, and thank you to Pamela for sharing it. Are your swine living high off the hog? In your spare time, you might Google "Pearls Before Swine," an American comic strip.

Linda, I am happy that you enjoyed this piece of frivolity. Thanks for reminding me about the comic strip. We get it here … I know it  well

    John...
I've always enjoyed Dr. Seuss too.
    Perhaps my favorite saying
    Don't cry because it's over,
    Smile because it happened.

I like how these pigs are spoiled like royalty...
Kind of reminds me of my furbabies...
    Trust me....
    They live the good life.

    Hopefully they won't be betrayed.

Haha, yes, Brenda, a bit like my cats and dog as well. Though they don’t get driven around in a limo. Thanks for reading and enjoying.

Thank you so much for sharing John's wonderful poem, Pamela.

John, I enjoyed this poem, and George Orwell's Animal Farm looks like a fascinating book. I've never read it, but maybe I should.
I enjoyed how the pigs in your poem are treated like royalty. smile

In Urdu, there's a very common proverb, "Bandar kya Janay Adrak ka Sawad,"  which translates the same as the Engish language idiom: "cast pearls before swine."

By the way, I'd want to have that Limo! I know that not everyone likes or appreciates wonderful people, things, or sayings, but I do! tongue
Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece, John!

Take care and keep smiling. More power to you, my friend! smile
    Blessings always!

Hi Misbah, yes you should read Animal Farm, it is a short book so doesn’t take long. Thank you for reading and enjoying my poem. It seems that is a very common saying world wide. Blessings to you.

That is a wonderful cute poem, John. I loved how the pigs were indulged and treated like royalty. The ending, in which they were taken to the market in a limousine, was hilarious.

I have not read George Orwell's Animal Farm. But I am going to read it now as it sounds interesting.

Thanks for sharing this poem John.

Thanks Pamela, for sharing John's work.

Good to hear that you enjoyed this poem and found the ending funny, Ravi. Animal Farm, I think, is one of those books you must read in your lifetime, and still relevant today.

This was a wonderful piece of poetry with a lot of humor, which I loved. The treatment of the pigs with great honor was the key here for a fun read. I liked George Orwell's quote. I am glad to know his novella, "Animal Farm" is one of your favorites. Thank you for sharing, John.

Thank you, Pamela, for sharing John's work.

Rosina, Pigs have been treated badly for too long. They deserve love and respect too. So glad you enjoyed this poem and found it a fun read.

Hello Citrangada. I guess this comes over a little like a nursery rhyme doesn’t it? It was fun to write though, and I am glad you found it an enjoyable read.
