What a fascinating story. And so well-written. I love the moral Ravi threw in at the end.

What a courageous young girl Juliane was. It's fortunate that she had rainforest knowledge. I don't know if anyone without that would have had the wherewithal to survive.

Thank you Pamela and Ravi for sharing Juliane's story. I'd love to know more about her life after the crash.

Ravi, this is a fascinating story. The chances of surviving the way Juliane did is zero. I think it was probably due to her age, training from her parents, and the seat belt while falling on thick vegetation. This is a very interesting story.

This survival story of the teenage girl sounded familiar to me the moment I read it. I had seen a movie of the story as a young child at least twice which is why I still remember today. Many of the details you described I could envision because I had clearly watched those things in the movie. I knew then it was based on a true story. Thank you, Ravi, for re-enlivening the story within me.

Than you, Pamela, for sharing Ravi's post.
