Brenda writes a timely poem on friends and peers we find on social media. As Brenda rightly tells us, social media friends are a blessing in disguise, especially on those days when we have no one in the physical world to share our sorrows. Thanks, Brenda, for sharing. The link is below.

A beautiful poem, Brenda! I am so happy that we met online and became friends. Social media friends are there to encourage and support, blessings in disguise. Thank you, Ravi, for highlighting this wonderful poem.

        Nithya...
It really amazes me that I can connect with others who live so far away.

Parts of technology are definitely worth it.

I'm glad we met and that we are friends.

Good poem, Brenda, I agree that social media and Online friends are a blessing. I have a lot more friends online than I do in real life, and I value them all.
    Thanks for sharing, Ravi.

I agree that online friends are a blessing. Since Covid hit I believe we still may not get out enough, so the online friends fill thsat void. I really like your poem, Brenda.

Thanks for posting Brend's poem, Ravi.

      Pamela...
You are so right.  When Covid-19 hit us, we all used our phones to communicate.

      I still do.

    Hi Ravi.

I feel HubPages online friends are such a blessing. I am not a person who reaches out for myself, but I do reach out to others on HubPages that I feel are special and need to communicate with true online friends. Brenda is one of those special people for me.

Thanks for sharing Brenda's poem with us.

    Hi Brenda,
A beautiful and heartfelt poem about the online friends. I completely agree with your thoughts on this.
I treasure each one of my online/ social media friends. They have become part of my life, and I love to interact with them. Yes, they provide emotional support as well, when we need it the most.
    Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Raviji for sharing Brenda’s work.

      Chitrangada...
Online friends seem to genuinely care.

I often wish many of you lived next door, but then we might not be as close.

I treasure my friends online too.

Thanks Ravi for posting Brenda's poem.  When reading the posts of online friends over time, we get to know them much like pen pals of the past.  These friendships are valuable.  I can think of many people I have had the pleasure of meeting online that would be fun to meet in person someday from many places worldwide.
