Take time to read Ravi Rajan's interesting article on the word prompt Sacrifice.

Self-sacrifice sounds like a wonderful topic...one I'm certain many of us have done.

      Thanks for sharing Brenda!

I had not thought of self-sacrifice in the sense of person-hood before. Sacrificing one's 'self' to fit the mold society projects upon us to be accepted. Thanks for sharing yourself and providing an example to understand and reflect on. I took note of the recommendations.

Interesting read! Yes, we often need to go through self-sacrifice to fit in or just to manage a situation at hand because no one else would come forward to do that. Priorities matter here. If it’s only about me then I wouldn’t care what the world thinks and just do what I feel like doing. I am an introvert and I continue to be one. But when it’s about my son I need to get out of my shell and reach out to people myself if the matter concerns him and I don’t mind that much but yes self-sacrificing does leave you tired and exhausted. I think there should be a balance. Balancing things is an art that not many can master and that I think is what can get you both success and happiness at the same time in a plot where the two are in conflicting ends.
A very nicely written article, Ravi. Thanks, Brenda, for the prompt and for sharing it.

    Hello Raviji,
Excellent response to the word prompt. This is more like a self help article, which will benefit many readers. I am sure it’s relatable to many people.
Many times we try to fit in the mould, as per the wishes of others. What’s important is not to lose our individuality and self respect in the process. In that case, it’s quite likely that people will take you for granted.
Thank you for sharing this honest write up. Very impressive.
    Thank you and good wishes.

    Ravi
Your article "How to Stop Self-Sacrifice and Learn to Value Yourself" shows us a very different aspect of sacrifice, which is indeed worth mentioning.

In your article you share with us about how you felt so unlikable by others & tried so hard to fit in.

Until one day you realize you don't need to change.

You simply need to be yourself and stop worrying about what others think.

Then you tell us some ways that helped you along your journey of learning to value yourself.

Each one is detailed with examples.

This is a really good write for sacrifice.

Especially in todays world, where it seems like everyone is in constant competition.

There is no better person than yourself.

Truly a quality to admire and one that will help you to build and strengthen relationships.

I posted a link to this in the word prompt article.

Ravi, your article clearly shows how self-sacrificing to please others can be devastating. I am glad you worked around it to be always yourself and found freedom and peace of mind. I
liked the quotes at the end. There is a lot to take away from your article.

Thanks, Brenda, for sharing Ravi's post.
