    This is beautiful poem.

It shows the importance of being satisfied with what one has, instead of daydreaming about what we don't.

Mom is teaching a valuable lesson by wanting the simple things in life like having the leaves raked.

Thank you, Brenda. Very true. Well, mom could have been a little softer, haha? But well, yes, it's better to stay in the real than dream about what you can't or shouldn't have.

Thank you, Genna. I'm glad you enjoyed the metaphor. The setting is based on real life, although the characters are fictional.
