John, thank you for sharing this. This poem is so deep. It strokes the depths of despair and hope all at the same time. I personally have struggled with depression and have lost faith in myself and my future. I've come close to giving up. Gianella's words speak to all humans who have flip-flopping emotions and may lose faith in themselves. Her words are very powerful and provide affirmation for both negative and positive feelings. This poem needs to be presented to mental health associations. People need to know it's okay to fall. They need to know they have the strength to rise above. Unfortunately, our world sees too many suicides because the fallen or lost are not heard.

Very perceptive, Shauna...I couldn't agree more.  And the way in which she conveys this is both unique and memorable.  This is superb writing, Gianella. Thank you, John.

Thank you for the feedback Genna. It's been a long time since someone complemented my work as superb writing, unique, and memorable. It's also has been a long time since I've written something like this as lately I feel discouraged and has kind of lost my passion in writing. It's really uplifting and a boost of passion and energy to be able to read and hear warm feedbacks like this. I really appreciate it a lot. Thank you for acknowledging my work.

Many of us have been there, Gianella, regarding our passion for writing. (I certainly have.)  But we come back to it because it’s who we are. Thank goodness. Your words are compelling in ways that are not only wonderfully candid and in-depth, but hopeful and inspiring.   Thank you for this poem, and for sharing.

I'm in tears. Reading this after waking up was so touching. It was just another night of me doing some brain dump and unloading some heavy thoughts and never thought of it being as good quality to be presented in Mental Health Associations. I'm also glad that these words have in some ways uplifted you. Well, Suicide Prevention Awareness Month is just around the corner. Thank you so much Shauna for taking your time to read and I appreciate the warm reception. So warm. And as a person I appreciate and love you as well. Thank you so much.

Peggy, I think with what has been occurring at HubPages recently a lot of us are feeling a little down or lost our mojo and desire to write here. If we do read something that touches us or we feel worthy, I think it is important to acknowledge it and share for comment. That way we can still encourage and support each other.

      Hi Gianella,
Thank you for this refreshing and thoughtful poem. I believe, many of the readers can relate to your beautiful flow of expressions.
The human mind is always thinking, and all the positives/ negatives come rushing to the mind around that specific time. So much has to be done, so much time is lost etc. etc.
It's so good to read this from you after a long time.
Thank you John for sharing this in the forum.

agreed+++ reading feedbacks under this forum proves to me that i just didnt solely described what i was feeling inside the words have transcended and been translated to the readers making it relatable to many especially those dealing with severe mental health issues, its a daily struggle and internal conflict that we gotta beat before it strikes back to 00:00. and yeah it has been a long time. thank you for appreciating what ive written Chit. It has been a while and it was an insightful day everyone made me feel.

Gianella, I appreciate your portrayal of human feelings in this poem. You beautifully portray the conflict between hope and despair, doubt and trust, courage and fear. It is very appealing to the heart.

Thank you, John, for posting a link to this great piece.
