   Yes. We really don't want it, but cellphone signal is not good where our house is located. If it was better we'd get rid of the land line and just go off of cellphones.

   I do not. I actually have a telephone line, but it's only for my DSL. I only use my cell phone.

   Nope.  We RV'd for two years w/o one, so when we bought our bricks and sticks home we could see no reason to get one......

   I have a land line, but I get it from my cable provider (with my internet).  I take call from home and like the extra security of having, not only a 'land line', but a phone that plugs directly into the jack in the wall next to my bed.  I also have a fax machine that I use not infrequently.

   No, but wish I did. The cell coverage sometimes fizzles out when you need it the most.

   Yes, we still do and will probably keep it. Since I bundled it with my cable service and got such a good rate, it really does not cost that much. I have had that number for over 30 years now but I mostly do use my cell phone. Three of my four sons are now in different parts of the country and if they can't reach my cell, they will always remember our home phone number ;-).

    For many years - I got rid of my landline and only used my cell phone.  Now I have a landline and a pre-paid cell phone.  I use both - I need the landline service for Internet and where I live presently they have fibre optics.  Terrible interference.

    We have the land line for home and mobile phones (you call them 'cellphones') to carry around. Calls between landlines are cheaper here, landline to mobile is more expensive and mobile to mobile is pretty pricey.
    Some people who have a British Telecom (what used to be General Post Office or GPO before privatisation in Maggie's time) landline also have their broadband from the same source, combining phone cable with internet, even cable TV. There is an infinite variety of phone apparatus you can have with your landline, such as the old phones that came after AGB's time, through the bakelite ones whad in the fifties to the cordless ones we have now.
    We have three landline receivers in our house: bedroom, hall and dining/back room, and the wife has two mobiles (that's right, two).

    Yes, I still have it. I do not use it often though. Neither do I use cell phone very often. But I keep it - just in case.

    Yes, because it is too difficult to hear a cell phone in a concrete house, and there are some rooms in which we don't get any cell phone reception. We also can't take our portable land-line phone to some of those rooms either unless we have a base installed there.

    Yes, because the mobile coverage where I live in the north of England is very poor.  It comes as part of a package that includes broadband so is still a vital service.  Unfortunately BT (British Telecom) has a strangle-hold on the landlines in this country so you have to pay their monthly charges if you want broadband, whether you like it or not.
    
    I look forward to the day when we can dispense with landlines entirely.

       I have a phone package through Southern Electric called 'Talk'. Other power companies also do phone packages on landlines, you just need to ask around.

    Yes, I do. To work from home with online marketing company it is a must. That is my primary reason for having a land line.
