   What ever happened to personal responsibility?
   
   It seems that people these days are quick to blame others for their problems.  In addition to this, frivolous lawsuits seem to be on the rise.

   I feel too much buck passing is rampant in our society.  Only few hold themselves accountable for their actions.  Apathy and inaction is another related problem.

   Somewhere along about the time that President Bill Clinton was saying "I did not have sex with that woman", a lot of our younger people in America decided that if the president bore no responsibility neither should they. We now live in a world where too many of our neighbors are either registered sex offenders and certified nuts. Too many Americans are only worried about one thing..."what's in it for me?"  When that becomes the attitude and the mindset, personal responsibility is easily rationalized away with statements like, "it depends on what the meaning of 'is' is."  The list goes on and on....

   People some how find it easier to blame things on other people and other things instead of looking at the real cause.
   
   For example ; A man loses his job. He blames his boss and co-workers for this. He never took into account that he missed many days in the past few months or that the business was losing money and couldn't afford to keep the people who slacked off or simply didn't work as they should.
   
   Law is becoming more corrupt and it only favors toward the rich. The poor/middle class people are left in the dust of this and learn to blame the people above them. This then reflects onto their life in general... The husband blames the wife, the wife blames the kids, the kids blame the dog. It's a vicious cycle that all stems from the evil ways of men.

   I find that the people who tend to do this are angry about their lot in life but what they refuse to admit is that their lot in life is something that can be changed by their own efforts. Life is not easy and any adult knows this. Changing your lot in life is also not guaranteed to be an easy thing. Blaming others for one's own problems is easy and many people blame because they are too lazy to inform, educate, and mobilize themselves to change.
