The 10 Most Racist Countries In The World

   Youtube presented a video of the 10 most racist countries in the world(the video is in Spanish).   These countries are as follows in descending order: Austria(10), Germany(9), Russia(8), Argentina(7), England(6), Rwanda(5), Israel(4), South Africa(3), Spain(2) and in first place, the United States of America.  According to this video, Austria and Germany have a significant neo-Nazi population and it is resurrecting the National Socialist philosophy of racial supremacy.  These two countries also have an influx of non-European immigration.   
   
   In Russia, many young people feel disenfranchised socioculturally and socioeconomically.  Russia also has an influx of non-European immigration from the former republics of the Soviet Union and from outside the country.   Many are also joining neo-nazi, white supremacist, and other right wing parties.  Argentina has long had one of the highest Europen, non-mestizo populations in South America.  It has a history of marginalizing its native and Black populations. 
   
   England is now becoming a multnational and multiracial nation.    Many non-Caucasians, particularly Indians, Pakistanis, and Blacks report feeling uncomfortable in England and believe that they are the recipients of discriminatory treatment.    Rwanda practiced genocide against a segment of its population.  It nearly annihilated the Watusi ethnic group.   
   
   It is purported that despite Israel's  open aliyah policy regarding immigration of the Jewish diaspora, it has some problems regarding the influx of Ethiopian Jews.  South Africa has dismantled apartheid of course; however, there is infighting between Blacks and Whites still.   There has been some racist propaganda from both sides stating how one group is suffering on the behest of another group.   
   
   Spain, as in many European countries, is having an increase in the number of neo-nazis, racists skinheads, and other allied groups.   The leading racist country in the world is the United States of America.   Hmmmm, despite its inroads regarding racial equality and progressivism, there is still racial discrimination particularly in jobs, housing, and/or other amenities.   There is also an increase in anti-immigration feeling particularly towards Latinos.   There is a marked increase and resurgence of neo-nazi and racists groups such as the Ku Klux Klan, the American Nazi Party,  and National Vanguard.  Let's discuss this.

      The liberals love the sound of stuff like Ku Klux Klan.
      They won't talk about how their policies help keep poor people dependent on their social programs or how much tax revenue they get from smokers whom they should be helping trying to get off tobacco.

         There's other programs on TV besides FOX News. By the way, the Ku Klux Klan, the American Nazi Party,  and National Vanguard are right-wing conservatives.

      One of the biggest that I observe is the anti-immigration feeling.  However, it is not towards Latinos, but towards Mexicans.  There is a vast difference here; one is a race, one denotes the political affiliation and citizenship of a group violating the law.
      
      True, there is considerable bleed-over, and in areas with high Mexican population the Latinos unfairly suffer the consequences when racism does raise it's ugly head and people forget that there is a difference.

         Latino / Mexican is interchangeable (also interchangeable with Hispanic) when discussing illegal immigrants, because there are too many Spanish speaking countries in Central & South America to differentiate between them.  Americans can't tell the difference between someone from Guatemala and someone from Honduras or El Salvador, or Ecuador, or Cuba, or even Mexico. 
         
         All we know is that at least 12 million of them have crossed our borders without authorization, have multiple fake identities, are stealing our identities so they can work "legally," are taking jobs and housing away from legal citizens of the United States, and feel entitled to US government assistance (money, food, medical, education).
         
         And, because of this, anyone who speaks out against them is considered a racist.

      The polling of GOP primary voters in southern states leads me to believe they might be on to something, almost 50% wanted interracial marriage made illegal in several states. Dissaproval rates of it were even higher.

      There is an unfortunate tendency and it appears to be part of human nature to rally amonst one's own tribe. But in the interests of civility and societal cohesion we must deny ourselves this comfort in the public sphere.
      
      I may be a pessimist but we are always going to find a reason to define "us" and 'them'. I may well be naive to think that it will all go away based on the 21st century, more educated citizens and all that. Discouraged, as I am time and time again being proven wrong in my aspiration that  the human family can evolve beyond its infancy.

      It it obvious that those who compiled the report have absolutely no idea of what is really going on in England or in fact the UK in general. Ethnic groups here have more money spent on them per head than the white population.
      Without doubt there are instances of personal racial abuse but this applies both to the ethnic and English population but Britain is not institutionally racist as some would have us believe.
      The main issue with most UK nationals (White or Ethnic) is one of overcrowding. the policies of the UK government present and previous have created a situation where services, public and private are stretched to the limit, if i am considered racist to express my discontent of this fact then so be it.

   Anti-immigrant feeling is in the US, but I have observed it just as much in the UK and Australia.  That kind of xenophobia is common to many countries.
   
   But putting the US at #1 when there are countries that recently had acts of race-based mass genocide, or where racial violent and discrimination is an accepted norm, is a complete nonsense.

   Call me cynical but I think for a lot of people they just have to hate someone to feel better about themselves. This seems particularly profound in disenfranchised teenagers, crazy people, and those that live in a really thick bubble. I don't think this has anything to do with race, ethnicity, or country of origin it's just people being the least they can be! It's an attitude thing.
   
   As far as America being the worst... I don't know. I haven't seen those other countries in action. All I know is that the US is a very big place where people can spread out and forget other races exist... until they start encroaching on their territory, in their very own town. Then things get heated and we start fighting like tom cats over a female in heat. It's a sad and predictable reaction compounded by the fact many minorities live in poverty and are not given a lot of opportunities to get out of it - giving people not living in poverty yet more reasons to hate them and feel better than they are. "They're bringing us down!" It is a snake eating its own tail and will continue to be so until we actually take that whole "melting pot" idea to heart but this doesn't seem likely since racism is learned and I don't know of any sweeping infertility issues in racists and bigots.....

   It's sad to see such misinformation perpetuated.
   
   While all countries have bigots, and all people tend to like people like themselves, the data and facts simply do not support the idea of western liberal countries being more racist than other countries.
   
   In fact, the broadest data says exactly the opposite. Western countries are consistently more tolerant in attitudes as well as in their constitutional and legal protections.  North America in particular, as well as Australia and Scandinavia consistently rank lower in racism than other countries. The Middle East, Southeast Asian, and North African countries rank highest.
   
   An example (one of many) of such data is shown in this study map showing racism by country that appeared in the Daily Mail as well as other new publications.
   
   No one study is the whole story, nor is this one, but  it is in line with broad data from broad methodologies.
   
   Also:
   The 5 Countries Where Homosexuality is punishable by death:
   Iran, Mauritania, the Republic of Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. South Sudan is considering the law, and in Bangladesh there were massive riots recently because the government refused to change homosexuality from a crime to a capital crime.
   
   The 7 Countries Where Atheism is a capital Offence:
   Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, Sudan, Mauritania, and the Maldives
   
   In other Islamic countries such as Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Kuwait and Jordan — publication of atheist or humanist views on religion are totally banned or strictly limited under laws prohibiting ‘blasphemy’. In Malaysia, citizens have to register as adherents of a small number officially-recognized religions which includes no more than Christianity and Judaism as well as Islam.
   
   If you review constitutional and legal rights for women, you'll find the same culprits and heroes as you do for the above groups. For example,  Article 209 of the Iranian Constitution states that woman's life is valued only half as much as a man's life.
   
   The simple fact is that in the west, pluralism is entrenched in law and public custom.
   Yes, xenophobia still exists, as it is a part of human nature. And extremists and ignorant people still exist. But overall, the places where you're most likely to get a fair shake if you're different from the average are western liberal countries.
