Knowing that there are so many People waiting on a second chance do you believe in second chances.

I believe second chances can happen, but only if you believe they are possible.
I don't believe on "waiting" for them...I believe a person must be active and open to the possibility, even though there are disappointments along the way.  We learn through those and it is the ride of life that is what makes it interesting and challenging.  To arrive at the destination is glory felt tenfold since it was the ride that got us there.

When we look in the rear view mirror at how fortunate we were to overcome life challenges, we realize it's what fuels us to continue moving forward and that's all you can do in life I truly believe that chances do go around .

We all make mistakes in life and so I do believe everyone should be given a second chance.

So how far are you willing to go with taking a chance meaning I far would you go if it was you taking a second chance.

Many people take important decisions in life without thinking seriously. Later most of them wish that they would be granted with a second chance. It's natural that such a thought comes in almost all the people. But I think, by the time such a thought comes in them, it would be too late. Even if they are provided with a second chance, the consequences of the first chance would keep haunting them.

One of the greatest downfalls in our lives is banking on the potential of someone else. We go to great lengths to understand what someone should do, could do, has the ability to do but is not doing but if you don't take a chance on you your done.

Yes, no one is perfect. But, to be more specific it depends on what the person has done to deserve a second chance.

Again, depending on what I have done. Murder, rape, etc. deserves full punishment under the law. These victims get no second chance, why should we?

Yes, and Justice is not always equal, in the courts.  I believe we are judged in the afterlife and those not caught are dealt with by God or what goes around comes around.  In general chances at a second love or to work toward a new home or job

JThom42 second chances don't have to be bad things I had a injury/illness that had stop me from being a chef but by the grace of god and hard work I received a second chance at what I truly love it dose not have to be about something bad.

Second, third, fourth, fifth and hundredth chances are things out of which one never runs. He takes them for himself, or he has none. Opportunity is a thing not given to you. You create it.

You say you create but would you feel the same way if that person was you and they feel just like what you are saying would you feel the same way.

Would I feel the same were I the object of ... let's assume affection ... from someone else? Is she pretty, intelligent, loving, and a good cook? Send me her picture and I'll think about it.

Attikos there is nothing wrong with a second chance at anything you desire as long as you believe in what your doing if that is what you want go for it and enjoy it.

I don't believe in second chances. No matter what you do in life to atone for something or make up for it your actions will have a permanent consequence. If you kill someone that person won't come back just because you got another chance, if you steal something the fear of having something stolen is engraved on the hearts of the people you robbed. Every action has a reaction and every event has a consequence.
You can try, but you'll never wipe the stains away from what you did with your first chance.

This seemed to turn to a criminal discussion...or a wrong doing.  My initial answer was a general one.  Talking about wrongdoing and criminal wrong doing is very different.  If we open that door, we are talking only about people who are caught
