How come Obama hates America, but Bush doesn't?

Bush released 500 Gitmo prisoners, and never was called an America-Hater.....Obama exchanges 5 for the life of an American soldier, and there are calls for impeachment. I find this hard to understand, as it makes Zero sense.....What could possibly be the reason for this unexplained double-standard?

Did Bush ask Congress? Cause I sure don't recall any uproar.....and strange that they would be FOR releasing them with Bush, but NOW it's danger to America?

Oh people, people.....your slip is showing......and those bloomers are quite revealing.

In WWII, numerous Brits, Americans and Canadians were captured by the Nazi and put in POW camps. In fact, one of the most famous of these inspired the movie, Great Escape. During WWII, it was the duty of a captured POW to escape.

Politics is always a game of hypocrisy - usually on both sides.  Unfortunately, most people are so biased and ridiculous in their blind hatred for the "other" guy or party, that they buy right into this nonsense and the beat goes on.  Same "stuff" different party in charge.  I have little respect for anyone in either of the major parties at this point, but I do find the far right propaganda to be especially nauseating because they pander to the lowest common denominator constantly.  Fear and hate - why focus on ideas and coming up with solutions when you can fan the flames of hate and fear - it's far more effective for getting people to constantly vote against their own best interests.  I'm frustrated with politics as a whole, but yes the Obama hate hypocrisy when these people don't make a peep about illegal wars that were started, other prisoner releases etc. does get tiresome.

The problem with the fear and hatemongers? It doesn't work on the older generation. As a senior, I find this childish and grossly insecure.

fear and hatemongering works well on all demographics when it comes to politics. Many of the most uninformed I know are Seniors - some even in my own family. Age doesn't always equate to knowledge or wisdom.

yes--Fox age demo's are the over 60 crowd. My mom lives with a bunch of them: Fox-watchers, that is. Every single one of them collects SS,uses medicare, but squawks if someone needs UI or food-stamps.Forget their generation had "good jobs at good pay"

I remember back when Bush the second was in office and I would mention Let's impeach that lying s*b online or in chat rooms or even out in public. Some would remind me how "patriotic" he was supposed to be but no one said anything mean personally about me. But now if I say anything even close to negative about Obama it is suddenly, YOU RACIST, YOU!

As strange as it may sound, I don't think either one of them are America haters. The true opposite of love is indifference, not hate.  And I think indifference is something they both share.

You're lucky/ I was told I hate America...hate the troops...why don't I move to Cuba....get out of MY country....etc etc. I personally think they both serve Zionism...which of course makes me an anti-semite.

I concur with the previous comments and raise you- the far rights concerns over: Obama's vacations, net worth, where his Presidential library will be located, his wife's causes, his law degree authenticity, the entertainers and poets/musicians coming to the White House, his religion, his roots. Now tell me it's just because he is a Democrat? What are they already saying for Hillary and she is not even running yet? Age jokes, called her brain damaged, called her concussion made up previous to that, manipulated her daughter at getting pregnant-supposedly Fox News thinks Clinton's will have a 24 month gestation period. I will totally agree both parties have a history of attacking the other candidate. But what we have witnessed these 6 years? Nothing that would compare. What changed? You have a minority in office and you have another one thinking about running. Therefore you have nothing but cheap, mean, hate-filled, discriminating crap that they hope stick or die trying.

hmmm. I always think that too--it's the racism and misogyny. But I remember Rush with Bill Clinton....made my jaw drop with his foul hatred. Something different started in 1991.After Rush took over the noon time slot, then gradually all of it Rabid R
