   Have we seen any evidence that a border wall will stop the flow of illegal immigrants?
   
   Politics, costs aside.  What do experts say about the efficacy of this action?

   England shares an island with Scotland and Wales, Ulster with the Irish Republic. Despite being islands we still have a problem with illegal immigrants, who for some reason think Britain has untapped resources equivalent to the Horn of Plenty. We have 'people smugglers' from the outside who try to land illegals on the south-eastern shores, and we have confused British citizens who'd welcome the world and his wife until there was standing room only in the cities.
   Unless migrants want to live on the sides of Snowdonia, the Grampians or the Pennines - and all the sh** weather that brings with it - we're stuffed full. Somebody's put the word out that we're a 'soft touch' for benefits, Romanian migrants - who are legal - create false passports for Moldovans and Russians and produce handbooks on how to 'milk the state'. While we're still in the EU we've got to give those who are caught the benefit of the doubt, house and feed them, give them 'pocket money' and pay for their offspring still abroad.
   Bring on Brexit!

      Hadrian's Wall was 16 to 20 feet  the Berlin Wall was 11.8 feet (3.6 metres),  Israel's Wall — 25 feet (8 metres). So just get a bigger ladder

      serms to me like a huge waste of $. immigration from the s border has been going down,and if people would stop hiring them,they wouldnt come in the first place! this is an attempt to "whiten the gene pool", IMO.we dont want "cantalope calves",do we?

      Every year billions of dollars of illegal drugs, contraband, human trafficking, and weapons come across the border. Unfortunately, their customers are in the US. This creates more crime in the US, as well as drug addiction and suicides.

   Even without the wall, since Trump took office, border crossing is down by 50%. Illegal aliens are now contemplating entering Canada instead because they know that with the wall comes more border patrol and greater likelihood that they will get caught trying to cross over illegally.

      This hasn't stopped the drug cartels pushing $billions of drugs each yr. And How many terrorists are acceptable to cross the border into the US? 911 was only 19, San Bernardino was only 2. Just like the EO for the Travel Ban, National Security!

   I've been contemplating this for awhile now, growing up in Arizona, I learned a few things. One of those things being...a wall will not work when they are already digging tunnels. Why waste valuable taxpayer money on something that is destined to fail? Use part of the money in some other fashion, extra border patrol, something, but the wall is going to be useless.
