With the impeachment proceedings against President Trump, will the outcome be impeachment or will these proceedings make Trump an even stronger person who will garner more support from the Conservative element?   Will the impeachment proceedings cause many Americans to turn against the Democratic Party?

I think, if the vote to write articles of impeachment passes with only democrat votes, as did this vote for inquiry procedure...I think it will have a profound negative impact on the Democrat party...Unless they present better evidence than what they have so far...the Impeachment will never pass the Senate...not even close... and if it fails with both sides in the Senate voting to kill it...it will be really bad for Nancy and Schiff's futures...

I think, it will be a year long inquiry...select things being made public...and no Articles of Impeachment written...

When the people finally get to see the depth of Trump's crimes and lies it will put more pressure on the Senate to do the right thing. Just as in Nixon's case....

Nixon resigned before Articles of impeachment were even written or sent to the Senate...

Clinton would be a better example...

No, Clinton didn't lose the publics faith in his as did Nixon. Nixon's impeachment started out with a  low public approval, but eventually gained it when the facts came out. This is what will happen to Trump.

Oh ok...I see how you are correlating them now...

I thought you were talking more about the senate part...

I must say though...I am not so sure that the public will be more like Nixon...unless things change and better evidence is presented...It may be more like Clinton...

Trump got something like $3M in just online donations after the vote yesterday?

I am interested to see how this plays out...I am thinking this is going to have a negative impact on the Democrat party overall...and depending...might be really bad for the careers of Nancy and Adam...

No surprise the big money people donate a lot to Trump's re-election campaign. What was it, around two trillion they saved in taxes? Quite an incentive wouldn't you say, DS?

Did the impeachment proceedings against Bill Clinton  bring his ratings anywhere near down to the level Trumps are right now? Did America turn against the GOP on account of this? No.

The problems with Republicans is that they would not acknowledge that Trump "cross the line" even if the facts stare them in the face. So, there can be no closure as they continue to deny and divert. Are we going to just believe Trump as a sole credible source of whether a line a
      Was crossed or not?

Rightwingers are inherent cowards anyway for standing behind a tyrant "ad nauseam"  to save their own skins, politically, just like the leader they are mesmerized by. But again, that is why they ARE rightwingers.

"The problems with Republicans is that they would not acknowledge that Trump "cross the line" even if the facts stare them in the face."

And the Democrats care nothing for truth and honesty - "See?  A whistleblower that was fired by Trump, hates him and is a long time Democrat says his phone call as about next year's election!  And we know this because Trump is evil - no other evidence is needed!"

Wilderness, excellent point. I would also like to add the whistleblower's accusations have proven to be false and based on second and third hand knowledge.

It depends on how many Americans ignore the propaganda and lies, and realize that the corrupt and criminal in D.C. are out to destroy him, before he can expose even more of them.

You have to love how he is being impeached for attempting to expose Biden's corruption and get to the roots of the fabricated Russian Conspiracy charges.

They aren't impeaching him for getting Billions in dirty money from China and the Ukraine, they are impeaching him for exposing the corruption.

Ken, I agree with you.  The biggest problem I see for the Democrats is President Donald Trump released the transcript.  This makes the whistleblower's report irrelevant.  It also makes their witnesses irrelevant.  What can they tell about the call that the American public doesn't already know? It's interesting also how the Democrats are so enraged at what they believe President Donald Trump did but are okay with Joe Biden's activities.  Let's face it, the narrative of trying to "dig up dirt" on a political opponent is false.  The dirt was there and it only seems right for it to be investigated. President Donald Trump has an obligation to investigate the corruption as per an agreement with the Ukraine and other Eastern European countries.  The hypocrisy of the left is a amazing thing to watch.

Trump wanted the Ukraine president to publicly announce Biden's son was being investigated. If you believe Trump was sincerely worried about corruption in the Ukraine, why not investigate it and find facts before holding the Congressional funds up as blackmail, Ken? Why have the President of Ukraine make a big deal out of it?

Yes, the impeachment process will make Trump stronger and with the results from the Durham/Horowitz investigations, it will put the final nail in the Dems coffin. The Dems are making fools of themselves and the country.

I will stick with my prediction Trump will win in 2020. Guess we will have to see who can have bragging rights or get lots of egg in the face.
