Trump issues proclamation declaring Nov. 1 'National Day of Remembrance for Americans Killed by Illegal Aliens'

President Trump has issued a proclamation designating a “National Day of Remembrance” on Sunday for people killed at the hands of illegal immigrants.

“On this national day of remembrance we pause to honor the memory of every American life so egregiously taken from us by criminal illegal aliens,” the statement, emailed to reporters on Friday night, reads. “We solemnly stand with their families — our Angel families — who have endured what no American family should ever have to suffer.”

Come on Mike, this is just a political gimmick from a lame Trump campaign toward misdirection.

We have had more killed from rightwing extremists and a runaway pandemic.

Who is Trump really trying to deceive here?

Don't fall for this nonsense. The false figure that I assume you're referencing is 10K+ per year?   At least that's the one floating around social media.

Just going back to 2018, the total number of murders and nonnegligent manslaughters in the U.S. was 16,214. So even for that number to be accurate, 62% of the homicides of that year would have been committed by “illegal immigrants."

But according to the Pew Research Center, illegal immigrants only represent around 3.2% of the U.S. population. Statistically impossible. Those immigrants would have time for nothing else but shootings.

I believe having a day dedicated to the needless murder of American citizens by those who are here illegally is justified.  I feel for pain and suffering of families.  This lawlessness has led to children who won't know their mother or father.  Families who will not have their children be part o their life.  We're talking fellow American citizens.  I think the day is justified and acknowledgement of their pain is valid.  Shame on those who belittle this. YOU who do this are truly cold, callous and indifferent to very real suffering of American families.
