Bill has written a very thought provoking article about our homeless, mentally ill and alcoholics that live on the street.

    Bill,
    A very eye opening article.

There are so many who live in the shadows where no one cares to look.

I'm glad you were blessed with a wonderful family who helped give you a good and caring heart.

I have a few people I worry about whom have no living family members left or they live far away from here.

I occasionally drive by to check on them.   They do seem to live with that bottle in hand, but I understand that loneliness.

    It must be hard.

I often fear no one will be here for me if my parents pass on, but then again...i know alot of people.
I suppose someone would eventually think about me.

Thanks for bringing this to the forefront.

We should all check on others less fortunate than ourselves.

Yes, it is sad that many die alone among us. At least Clarence and Chris had each other I guess. There was an instance here recently of two sisters (in their twenties), immigrants who were found dead in their beds in their upmarket apartment. They had been dead for three weeks and no one knew until other residents reported an unpleasant smell.
People said they were very private and kept to themselves. I forget the details but I think it was ruled as suicide.
Thank you for drawing our attention to this very real and sad occurrence, Bill. Great to see a new article from you.
    Pamela, thank you for sharing.

I am posting this comment here again as I have in another thread running on this article by Bill.

It's great to hear from you, Bill. I love the message in you article. There are people less fortunate than us who do not have all the means of life. Nevertheless we should consider them as our friends and care for them.

Thank you, Pamela, for sharing Bill's wonderful article.

Thank you, all, for your kind words. I wish I had the time to hang around HP more often, but my new direction keeps me quite busy.
