Did you watch the election results?  Where?  Was it fair and equal reporting?

I watched CBS, ABC and NBC.  Started on CBS with Norah O'Donnell, but it didn't take long before my stomach rebelled.  The bias was just too much.

So I ended up on NBC with Lester Holt.  More bias; it was disgusting to watch the talking heads of that group "reporting" the "news" as they went over and over and over how Harris would do this and that to win...and hardly ever a mention of what Trump needed to win.

Eventually I went back to CBS.  And watched as the whole group - not a single one didn't participate) discussed how evil and bad Elon Musk is (he was with Trump at Mar-a-lago) and how positively horrible Trump is.  This was slightly before Trump's speech, and the despair was almost palpable right through the TV screen.  Those "reporters of the news" were dying in their chairs as their candidate lost state after state.  Beyond my limited ability to tolerate and left Norah to her tears.

Today I watch as Trump is told he must work with everyone and bring the country together...while at the same time Trump is evil, wrong, dastardly, immoral, unethical, etc.

Did you find any of that?  Did you get honest, fair reporting or just talking heads telling you how great it was to see Harris win?

I guess you do not have a Smart TV. Go get one.
I watched RAV and OAN on Pluto.
      Trump has won.
If the vote is stolen from him again, we'll know. There will be consequences.
Do not watch MSM, if you want to keep your sanity, wilderness.

Did you not hear him call Democrats, during the last days of campaigning, evil, the devil, lunatics, deranged,??  LOL but now is the time to come together?

Yep.  I just found it extremely disingenuous to declare he should work together and heal the division while in the next breath calling names and telling the world how bad he is.

I get it is liberals making that call, but that doesn't make it any more reasonable.  It is still the height of idiocy.

I didn't watch any of it. I was busy replacing the fans in my PC and cleaning it while enjoying myself. It wound up being a good four or so hour project of peace and solitude while listening to music. After that time to sleep.

Nice job, Tim. Politics involve vulgar language. Better ignore those talk shows and speeches.

We watched Fox and Sky News (Australia). A minute or two on CNN was enough to give me a headache.

This is true... the bias was never more pervasive and obvious...

I went from Blaze live streaming on Youtube while on the computer, to go sit with the wife and after not being able to find MSNBC (we do not have cable TV) settled for NBC and ABC.

The interesting thing I noted, was when it was still "up in the air", all they would show is how Harris was leading here, or how Harris had just won this, or how it compared to how Biden had done.

It was all pro-Harris and pro-Democrat... when it comes to Legacy Media, is very slanted/biased... I feel bad for older Americans that do not realize how warped Main Stream Media sources have become.

DailyWire ... Joe Rogan ... X (Tucker Carlson)... these venues get tens, hundreds of millions of views... tenfold what "Legacy" media gets today.

I agree. It may be because they go back and forth, and all sides can, not always, be heard. Much of any subject is ripper down to the studs, and in the end get's me thinking, about maybe--- the entire picture.

I think its because Joe Rogan and Carlson... while many feel they are biased as well... they call out the BS when they see it...

They don't TELL you what to believe, they have discussions with other people, about anything under the sun, and they leave it up to you to make up your mind.

            Compared to what MSNBC "reports"...

Isn't that the format of podcasts? In other words, nothing new under the sun. It is just a matter of the host(s) and genre sort to speak. I like to listen to Kelche's brothers 'New Heights' now and then.

I was watching Newsmax2, it's free for me with my firestick. They were fair in their reporting. They were covering both campaign's headquarters until Harris' spokesperson came out and told the crowd to go home, she wasn't going to be speaking. I couldn't believe it!
Newsmax may have been the first to call it for Trump, close to 1:30a.m. EST. I was messaging  with my daughter when they called Pennsylvania for Trump. Pennsylvania put him over 270. It was much later before anyone else made the call.

    1. wilderness profile image90
wildernessposted 8 weeks agoin reply to this

Ah!  That's who it was!  NBC said that someone had made the Pennsylvania call, but did not say who.  And would not make it themselves.

I understanding wanting to be really sure before making such a call, but that does not excuse turning your newscast into a talk show of biased speakers.

(I've looked at newsmax, and find them just as biased as the rest.  Just conservative rather than liberal.)

Yes, they are definitely not CNN, MSNBC, they are on the opposite end of the political dial.
But, their coverage on election night was fair and balanced. They covered the Democratic camp up until Kamala pulled a George Jones, with a noshow!

First ---  "Today I watch as Trump is told he must work with everyone and bring the country together...while at the same time Trump is evil, wrong, dastardly, immoral, unethical, etc."

I don’t waste my time with networks bogged down in the mud telling anyone what they must do. I think you know Dan, Trump is not one to be told what to do, so not sure why talking heads would bother --- maybe to hear themselves talk.

Instead, I stayed up to hear it straight from Trump himself. He shared his hopes and vision for the nation with such optimism—no bitterness, no talk of revenge. Several times, he expressed his desire to unify and heal the country. True to his style, he made it clear that, whether people like it or not, he’s committed to working for all Americans and believes that real success can bring real healing. It was a wonderful speech.

I watched the results on Fox and found their national poll coverage packed with useful insights. They really broke down public opinion by issue, gender, race—giving a strong sense of the pulse of the nation. Watching it all, I felt more certain than ever that Trump is headed for a big win. Fox did a great job highlighting the top concerns of Americans, and that spoke volumes to me. I’ve come to prefer Fox hosts because they’re less about the drama, which is a nice change of pace.  I find the Fox crew not to be caustic as I find left-leaning outlets.

I hope you caught Trump’s late-night speech—it was classic Trump, but with a clear vision for the country. If I had to guess, I’d say he’s already hard at work today. All along, I’ve believed that the American people will make the right choice, and I have faith that even at the last minute, they’ll use their common sense to do what’s best.

I am very stoked about Trump heading back to the White House. I have real hope and feel really in courage that Trump will work hard to make America a better place.

I did watch his speech.  And was surprised and gratified when I realized after several minutes that I had not heard a single "I".  "We", "Us" - these were in abundance, but not "I".

It was a big departure for Trump to me and I loved hearing it.

Trump has evolved, and I believe him to be a different man... a better man, than he was on July 12, 2024

This is a good example of the future of news... of how people get their information:
    https://youtu.be/7qNWFUWF_SQ?t=356

Regular people sharing their views in an intelligent and honest manner.

If we are lucky, outlets like MSNBC will be dead, or at least ignored, in the very near future.  The world will be a better place without them.

[EDIT]  BTW... that black... gay... individual gives the exact message I would like to offer anyone that feels bad about the election results... he speaks truth plainly, and it isn't coming from a white cis man (like myself)... maybe you will give him a listen.
